Ideally located in the centre of Kyoto, Kokonoe Machiya offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. The hostel owner was the best. He give a lot of tips and recommendations. The bed in the dorms was comfortable and the lockers was very big. It's near many bus stations.

Providing free WiFi and a garden in a renovated 50-year old building with mountain views from the property, Rc Hotel Kyoto Yasaka offers accommodation in Kyoto, 600 metres from Kiyomizu-dera Temple. The location was everything!! It's walkable to many major tourist spots like Kiyomizu-dera. Also good for those who wants to get pictures with the Hokan-ji pagoda in the early morning without anyone. The room was cute and have everything you need for your stay. Plus the staffs were so super friendly, helpful and good in English. I will definitely choose this hotel again for the next visit in Kyoto.

Beautiful hotel with great staff next to a lovely river. It seems to be freshly renovated, has very comfortable rooms and excellent vibe to it. Highly recommended. Plenty of great food places around.

I really liked how quiet the area was, and it felt like it was a break away from the tourist areas, even though those areas are quickly reachable by bus or walking. Great location and staff were so kind and helpful!
