Breakfast and dinner were very good and the Inn is a short 1.7 mile walk to the amazing sights at Stourhead.

Dreamy is the one word that comes to mind. The whole property is quaint and just beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Oak. From the rooms to the location. We loved everything. The breakfast was delicious and made with quality ingredients. The rooms were perfect for our needs. Clean and beautifully decorated. Coming from a different country we did have some trouble with internet service but I think It has to do with our roaming service. We can't wait to return.

Beautiful gardens, rooms and common areas. Very clean and cozy! Beds were super comfortable and they even provided a fan for these hot spring days. All the staff was very nice and attentive. Food was excellent too!

Denne fredede tidligere landevejskro tilbyder lyse, individuelt indrettede værelser, en traditionel pub og en afslappet restaurant. Really lovely place! We just wanted a room to crash in but it, was so pretty we were happy to come back from our party early! The staff were super friendly and could not do enough for us and the breakfast was totally amazing, I had a veggie breakfast with oat milk in my coffee..... I would definitely stay here again!
