Celmira and her family were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed and were safe when we went on excursions (nearby town with Thermal water and little bars and shops (30min walking), and a waterfall (1,5h walking). The food was incredible, we're still talking about it haha. Super chill area, not much to do but relax and enjoy the moment. Stayed for 3 nights which was the perfect length. The property is really small, we were the only guests, which was nice after a few weeks of travelling. Loved the down-to-earth vibe with bucket showers and honest conversations with the hosts.

Casa Origen ligger i El Valle, en kort bit från Playa El Almejal, och har conciergeservice, rum, en trädgård, gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen och en terrass. Alla rum har ett kök och ett eget badrum. This was the most amazing stay of our 2 week trip in Colombia. Alejandro and Stephanie are very nice and sincere hosts. They advised on tours and gave useful tips and were very helpful. Breakfast was very tasty, thank you! It was a pleasure to stay with these wonderful people. Alejandro, we are very much looking forward to your music link :)

Cabañas Arrecifes ligger i El Valle och erbjuder strandnära boende med bland annat en trädgård, en terrass och en restaurang. Playa El Almejal ligger 2 minuters promenad bort. This places was a dream for us. We were a family of 5 and Lorena and Janeth (the owners) are super customer focus and kindly let us stayed in 2 of the big rooms available as one of us was really sick and required a private bathroom for himself. They are EXTREMELY accommodating and the location of the place couldn’t be better. It’s hard to find a place with both beach access and close enough to the main town but far enough for you not to have the music of the parties going on at 3am. Lorena made us feel so welcomed and was consistently making sure we were fine and that our stay was a pleasant one. There was a kitchen behind the rooms that we could use, there is free filtered watered for all guests and they even provide a beach umbrella and beach chairs for you to chill at the beach which is just in front of the hotel. The ladies made sure each day the rooms were cleaned and they maintain the premises as clean as possible. We loved our trip to el Valle, but what made the experience unforgettable was hitting the jackpot with this accommodation .. WE LOVED IT

La Aldea del Primitivo erbjuder boende med en trädgård i Nuquí. Boendet har ett gemensamt kök och rumsservice och kan även bistå med att arrangera turer. We had such a lovely stay, this place is absolutely magical. Such a special place on the edge of this beautiful little village and the walk through the river, up the stream and into the jungle made it even more magical. A beautiful cabin, (the photos do not do it justice) and a shower under the stars. Valentina, the host, is so kind and welcoming, she made us feel so at home. Could not recommend this place more if you want simple living off the beaten track. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This intimate setting with nature allows you to press pause and connect with what is truly important… Mother Earth and human beings. Coffee and practicing Spanish with Mama Orbe in the morning… activities during the day, food made with love. This place is special Also… do yourself a favor and walk the beach south until you can’t walk any further. You’ll meet a freshwater lagoon that is a SPECTACULAR place to swim and relax. Probably a 45 minute walk but well worth it!!

Mar y Selva ligger i El Valle, en kort bit från Playa El Almejal, och har en trädgård, terrass och utsikt över havet. Gästerna kan njuta av utsikten över trädgården.

Casa Hostal Amar-illa ligger i El Valle, 2 minuters promenad från Playa El Almejal och har en trädgård, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Alla rum har ett kök och ett delat badrum. The couple running it were very helpful giving recommendations and guidance. They always advise the cheapest and best option around according to your needs.

Posada Hannany i Arusí erbjuder boende med en trädgård, en terrass och en restaurang. Det finns gratis privat parkering och boendet erbjuder flygplatstransfer mot en avgift. My stay at Hannany was wonderful, Nachas food was so delicious and Eliazar was an excellent guide. They made me feel at home. The housing is basic, but more than enough. I highly recommend doing the 1 hour jungle trek, swimming in the river and going back on the river with a canoe, with Eliazar. It was so beautiful. They have constructed a resting place by the river, where you can stay overnight in the jungle. For the next time I’d love to do that excursion.
