Celmira and her family were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed and were safe when we went on excursions (nearby town with Thermal water and little bars and shops (30min walking), and a waterfall (1,5h walking). The food was incredible, we're still talking about it haha. Super chill area, not much to do but relax and enjoy the moment. Stayed for 3 nights which was the perfect length. The property is really small, we were the only guests, which was nice after a few weeks of travelling. Loved the down-to-earth vibe with bucket showers and honest conversations with the hosts.

I always like to make a challenge of finding the most desolate and undisturbed places on the planet, and Los Longos fits easily in my personal top 5. It doesn’t get more off the grid and ocean front than this. Complete disconnection with everything and reconnection with your deepest self. The hosts are accommodating in every sense and their cat is the pinnacle of tranquility, in which I took a great example to mostly do the same.

Located in El Valle, Cabañas Arrecifes offers beachfront accommodation 200 metres from Playa El Almejal and provides various facilities, such as a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. This places was a dream for us. We were a family of 5 and Lorena and Janeth (the owners) are super customer focus and kindly let us stayed in 2 of the big rooms available as one of us was really sick and required a private bathroom for himself. They are EXTREMELY accommodating and the location of the place couldn’t be better. It’s hard to find a place with both beach access and close enough to the main town but far enough for you not to have the music of the parties going on at 3am. Lorena made us feel so welcomed and was consistently making sure we were fine and that our stay was a pleasant one. There was a kitchen behind the rooms that we could use, there is free filtered watered for all guests and they even provide a beach umbrella and beach chairs for you to chill at the beach which is just in front of the hotel. The ladies made sure each day the rooms were cleaned and they maintain the premises as clean as possible. We loved our trip to el Valle, but what made the experience unforgettable was hitting the jackpot with this accommodation .. WE LOVED IT

Located in Nuquí, La Aldea del Primitivo features a garden. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, room service and organising tours for guests. We had such a lovely stay, this place is absolutely magical. Such a special place on the edge of this beautiful little village and the walk through the river, up the stream and into the jungle made it even more magical. A beautiful cabin, (the photos do not do it justice) and a shower under the stars. Valentina, the host, is so kind and welcoming, she made us feel so at home. Could not recommend this place more if you want simple living off the beaten track. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything about the is place is special to me. This intimate setting with nature allows you to press pause and connect with what is truly important… Mother Earth and human beings. Coffee and practicing Spanish with Mama Orbe in the morning… activities during the day, food made with love. This place is special Also… do yourself a favor and walk the beach south until you can’t walk any further. You’ll meet a freshwater lagoon that is a SPECTACULAR place to swim and relax. Probably a 45 minute walk but well worth it!!
