Highland Moors is the last Victorian Hydro Spa Hotel left in Wales, now a refurbished guest house and venue for conferences, functions and meetings. Set only 6 miles from the Royal Welsh Showground and a 20-minute drive from the Elan Valley, it has free Wi-Fi throughout and free secure parking. In the mornings, full English breakfast is served in the elegant breakfast room. Dishes are prepared using the freshest, free range, and locally sourced produce. There is also a full range of healthy breakfast options including cereals, museli, fresh fruit and yogurts. Evening meals are available for 6 or more diners by prior request. All rooms at Highland Moors are spacious and have a TV, hospitality tray, a hairdryer, leather sofa and chairs. Most rooms have an private bathroom and some have a private external bathroom. Company info

Sue is married to Jeff and enjoys their active life, refurbishing Highland Moors and bringing up their three children with their black lab Shadow and two fun cats Poppy & Apollo . They take time out to cycle, visit family and friends and have adventures together. All of them box. They enjoy getting away to the sun themselves and going back to Ireland to see family. They have been running Highland Moors for twenty years and still loving it. Art classes run every Wednesday, and the dining room can be hired out of meetings and events.

Highland Moors is an ideal guest house for family groups, motorcyclists, car clubs and sporting groups, and those attending shows in Builth Showground including dog shows. We offer comfortable, spacious rooms with comfy chairs, flat screen TVs, TV & coffee making facilities , great homemade food, a licensed bar, guest lounge with free pool table and offer a warm family all year round. Secure CCTV covered car park. We also offer a garden with decking for alfresco dining and BBQs as well as a children's play area with trampoline and zip wire. Dinner can be pre-ordered for most nights. Please contact Sue to arrange. Guests can join you for dinner. A gym on site is now available for guests to enjoy. We offer a great location for exploring Mid Wales. Free WIFI throughout with good speed and reliability. We welcome motorhomes and campers to park for the night and enjoy dinner and drinks - parking charge waived.

Great places locally to visit include the lake, the National Cycle Museum, the leisure centre and the Hall at Abbeycwmhir. Lovely Ynyslas beach is an hour away close to Aberystwyth. A short drive south will take you to Cantref riding centre and adventure farm, Dan-yr-ogof caves, Merthyr steam railway, bowling, cinema and Jumpjam. Other places includes Phil Price rally school, small breeds farm in Kington, Kington Raceway go-karting, Oakerwood adventure centre, the Silvermines experience and the Judges lodging. The area is great for kayaking, golfing, walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding. Only 2 hours away from Oakwood Theme Park near Tenby, Zipworld, Bounce Beneath in Snowdonia National Park.
