With three-bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a modern open plan kitchen/sitting room finished to the highest standard alongside free Wi-fi and a 55” TV, 1 Balnakeil makes for the perfect holiday home for all. At 1 Balnakeil we realise that on self-catering holidays some essential household items can be forgotten; therefore 1 Balnakeil features a fully-equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs including herbs & spices, teas/coffees/sugar and complimentary Scottish jams & marmalade. The hosts are also aware that holiday preferences are different for everyone; therefore Sarah & William are happy to be as welcoming as possible but also our key safe-box allows for guests to check-in flexibly and independently. All in all, 1 Balnakeil is an ideally equipped home away from home making for the perfect holiday experience; with welcoming hosts to help with visitor needs and a high-end exterior and interior, we have everything to make you feel at home on holiday.

With hourly buses into the town of Oban, also named the ‘Gateway to the Isles’ due to the frequent boats traveling to tourist islands such as Mull, Tiree and Coll, 1 Balnakeil is the perfect home for daytrips to picturesque Scottish Isles. Furthermore, Dunbeg also features a cycle track that takes both cyclists and walkers directly into town via the costal path. For our historically-enthusiastic guests or for anyone wishing a short, yet beautiful, walk, Dunstaffnage Castle and Chapel is situated just 0.8 mile walk from the house ; Dunstaffnage Castle is rich in Scottish History and was once held by Robert the Bruce and housed the Stone of Destiny. As mentioned above, 1 Balnakeil is ideally situated for bus routes, cycle paths and connections to the ferry routes; the house is also a short distance from the local village shop, a hairdresser, and both a pub/restaurant and a café/garden centre. Alongside being centrally located, 1 Balnakeil is surrounded by beautiful scenery, forest walks and costal views; everything you could need for the ideal holiday location!
