The welcome was very warm - like at a friend's house - personal greeting and chat on arrival. We also highly appreciated Robert's advice about local restaurants and places to visit.
The house is in a beautiful location with great views on Loch Fyne and the surrounding hills.
The inside of the house is beautifully furnished and shows great attention to detail.
Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious with an own coffee machine. The view on the loch was stunning!
Fantastic fresh breakfast with lots of choices available - the porridge was ever so delicious (thank you Jana!) and again we felt like at home being able to have a little chat in the morning with Robert or Jana. They were both very friendly and helpful - simply the best hosts on our tour through England, Wales and Scotland.
Good parking spaces in front of the hotel. An amazing experience - we certainly come back!

My husband and I had never been to Scotland before and we felt our introduction staying at Janice's welcoming country house made it memorably perfect. Janice, the owner personally made our breakfast and her home cooking and presentation was deliciously full of love. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it. Our bed was extremely comfortable and our water view charming. The location was very close to the charming town of Inveraray and the must see Inveraray Castle in walking distance. I took endless pictures to remind me what a special place.

Inveraray can be rushed round in a day trip or you can stay a few days and take your time, soak up the atmosphere, chat to the locals and friendly shop staff, sit and enjoy the views, absorb the peace and do some walking. The famous jail, castle, bell tower are always worth a visit, but Inveraray is about so much more! Loads of good places to eat like Brambles, George Hotel, or ice cream, snacks etc at cafe opposite car park, everything within walking distance, though on a slight hill. One of my favourite places.

The location of the village on the loch is stunning and the castle a must do experience. The village offers a good choice of places the stay, eat and drink. Good cafe in the wooden mill shop.
The George Hotel on Main Street offers excellent dining and the bar next door is very friendly.
Don’t miss a walk down the quay to see the famous Vital Spark Clyde puffer and wander down the interesting loch side back streets.

Inveraray is principally a lovely place, with lots of possibilities for long walks, a very pretty castle and lovely views over the loch. Unfortunately, the choice of restaurants and pubs is relatively limited. The few restaurants that are there were fully booked, and for some reason in the pub there was not much to do, even on a Bank Hoiday Saturday evening.... Where does everybody go ???

Inveraray is an ideal stop along any West coast journey..200 year old history, water front, tourist attractions, restaurants, pubs, and quaint accommodation. Some hotels can be over priced as can some restaurants.. be circumspect as there are value for money smaller venues. As for the castle..a walk around the outside maybe sufficient satisfaction as again the price for a whole family is on the steep side.

Inveraray is a very small town so perfect for a weekend, or for a couple of nights when touring. Lots of nice independent shops which we like to support when we are visiting. Special mention to Campbells coffee which we also have delivered at home. The George Beer Garden is excellent during the summer for Burgers and drinks, and loving the addition of Ocho, wish they would start up their supper club nights again as the food is next level. Its by far the nicest lunch place in Inveraray.
En Route we love visiting the Tree Shop Garden Centre on Loch Fyne. Excellent selection of home baking, great quality, along with great toasties and sandwiches, a bit nicer than your usual cafe fayre. The shop is also lovely for nick nacks and gifts.
Food quality very good
Majority of staff were very friendly and reasonably attentive in most cases. I am guessing, but reckon many of the staff were either new or lacking training in certain aspects, Covid restrictions may have made things more difficult but I have stayed in several hotels in recent times and dined out also, and in all cases the choice of products and information on same etc. did not have the limitations and failings experienced at the Loch Fyne.
Stayed for 1 night as we were in Inveraray for a party at the George Hotel, so it was perfect location, just a few yards away. Check in was at the cafe over the road, lovely staff, paid £15 extra for early check-in . Room was spacious, clean, huge comfy bed and pillows, lovely big hot waterfall shower. Breakfast was served till 10am at the cafe over the road, lots of choice. Wished we were staying longer!
As usual a stay at the George Hotel was perfect - a cracking large room with very comfy 4 poster bed and spa bath coupled with very tasty evening meal followed by breakfast the next day which was delicious. A few whiskies, logs on the fire and great atmosphere - consistently awesome as an easy break away.
The location - we’re regular visitors to Inveraray and love being there. We’ve stayed in the Inveraray Inn before and love that it is dog friendly in the bar and in the rooms.
I came to Inveraray for the Bluebell Festival at the George. The apartment was lovely comfortable and clean a perfect base for my visit to this beautiful little Scottish Town.
