The staff is extremely friendly, the beds are comfortable and spacious and the showers have a luxurious system incredible. They also prepare breakfast for you. The host was very friendly and responsive and was available to help me check in after arriving at 4a from a night bus. Bathrooms are kept very clean as well. Ideally located in Hanoi, Drift Backpackers Hostel offers air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. This is definitely the best hostel I have ever stayed in Hanoi! The location is great, which is near the old quarter and the Hoan Kiem Lake, and is just right next to the St. Joseph Cathedral. The dorm and the breakfast area (common area with snooker) is facing right at the cathedral, which is a superb view. The staff are very friendly and always have a smile on their face. One of the staff can speak Mandarin, which is a plus for me. The entire building was clean regularly. Definitely one of the cleanest hostels in Hanoi. The breakfast is buffet style, where they serve fried rice, fried noodles, sausages, bacon, omelette, bread, vegetables and fruits. They keep the foods warm at all times and refill it regularly so the guests will never run out of food. Unfortunately, my schedule is a bit tight, otherwise I will definitely stay longer in this hostel. Will choose to stay at this hostel again if I ever come back to Hanoi.

The property is close to St. Stayed for 2 weeks. Was on a business trip, but the target market is definitely backpackers and party people. The staff were friendly and the daily breakfast was exceptional for being included in the price. The 'free beer hour' was exactly as advertised, though only had the chance to capitalize on it on the weekend since I wasn't back til 10pm on weekdays. Speaking of which, the area gets very crowded and lively by 10pm every day, since the hostel backs onto "Beer Street" in the Old Quarter, which might be worth considering depending on the purpose of your trip (it's not a quiet area). The value for money was overall amazing, and I would happily stay there again, albeit on a trip for leisure in the future.

Set a 2-minute walk from Old City Gate in Hoan Kiem district, Little Charm Hanoi Hostel offers elegant accommodation and an Italian-style restaurant on site. Great hostel, very clean, modern and well located. We booked the hostel because we were arriving at 3 am in the morning and didn’t want to wander around the city until lunch. The hostel has a 24 hours reception which was great for us so we could check in at that time. Beds were very comfortable, clean and spacious - curtain available. Lockers in the rooms closed by a chip card. Bathrooms super clean. Thank you!
