A great great hostel!! Amazing, super helpful and fun staff, that also executed free trips around Maui. The hostel was really spaceous and clean, the kitchen and the showers (with provided shampoo and soap) all look quite new, there is also a laundry room inside. We had a great free pancake breakfast in the morning by the staff and the hostel also offers some snorkeling gear, organizes a karaoke night and a bbq night with a cheaper meal and drinks. Overall such a good feeling, also due to fellow travelers, who are in majority in their early 20s. There is also free parking available on the street from the hours of 6pm-10am, which is enough, because you usually are gone during the day if you are there by car. Location is great to go anywhere in the island quickly, but otherwise it is not a really preety neighbourhood, you cannot really go for a walk around it, there is not much to see and you would also need to drive or uber to a beach. But there are many ppl who would share that uber or you would catch a bus. A really great value for the money and such a fun stay!!

Situated in Pahoa and with Lava Tree State Monument reachable within 5.5 km, Pahoa Village Hostel features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the... I loved the price! Accomodation on big island is really expensive 🙈 however, even it was cheap this room was spacious, clean, and all we needed to rest. It's located next to some bar, so we heard music coming out from the street, but once we closed the windows it wasn't an issue at all. The neighbourhood is not the safast one, however, on the property have had 3 locks on the way getting into the room that made us feel secure. .

Situato a Pahoa, a 7 km dal Lava Tree State Monument, l'Open Gate Hostel Hawaii offre un salone in comune e un giardino. La struttura si trova a 10 km dal Lava Tree State Park. One of a kind comfy place with a friendly staff. Very cool experience, we enjoyed it very much. It has all you need, including a star-gazing patio and a gym. Staying here made our trip special. Highly recommended.

Banana Bungalow Maui Hostel si trova a Wailuku ed è una struttura solo adulti con un giardino, una sala comune e una terrazza. I loved the staff at the property and the open area they have too, everyone is friendly and eating outside is a lovely experience, it’s really close to things by walking if you’d like to get like a coffee or something simple, or you can drive just about anywhere (recommend getting a car) Go on the tours. It’s a must, they’ll take you out for free and show you Hawaii and it’s a great start to your day and a great way to bond with your housemates during your stay
