Very helpful withinformation about the area. Stephanie was awesome! We ended up with the best group of guests staying there. Made a lot of great friends, had good times, and visited some cool places with them. I would definitely stay there again!

The Big Island Hostel er staðsett í Hilo og Coconut Island-ströndin er í innan við 2,8 km fjarlægð. Nice and clean, perfect location to walk to the Hilo center and to get the bus to different locations - beaches, Volcano National Park etc. Friendly staff and good facilities to cook your own food. Made some friends there too!

Located in Wailuku, 4.7 km from Iao Valley State Park, Howzit Hostels provides accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. A great great hostel!! Amazing, super helpful and fun staff, that also executed free trips around Maui. The hostel was really spaceous and clean, the kitchen and the showers (with provided shampoo and soap) all look quite new, there is also a laundry room inside. We had a great free pancake breakfast in the morning by the staff and the hostel also offers some snorkeling gear, organizes a karaoke night and a bbq night with a cheaper meal and drinks. Overall such a good feeling, also due to fellow travelers, who are in majority in their early 20s. There is also free parking available on the street from the hours of 6pm-10am, which is enough, because you usually are gone during the day if you are there by car. Location is great to go anywhere in the island quickly, but otherwise it is not a really preety neighbourhood, you cannot really go for a walk around it, there is not much to see and you would also need to drive or uber to a beach. But there are many ppl who would share that uber or you would catch a bus. A really great value for the money and such a fun stay!!

Pahoa Village Hostel er staðsett í Pahoa og Lava Tree State Monument er í innan við 5,5 km fjarlægð. I loved the price! Accomodation on big island is really expensive 🙈 however, even it was cheap this room was spacious, clean, and all we needed to rest. It's located next to some bar, so we heard music coming out from the street, but once we closed the windows it wasn't an issue at all. The neighbourhood is not the safast one, however, on the property have had 3 locks on the way getting into the room that made us feel secure. .

Open Gate Hostel Hawaii er staðsett í Pahoa, 1,1 km frá Kaimu-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlegri setustofu og verönd. One of a kind comfy place with a friendly staff. Very cool experience, we enjoyed it very much. It has all you need, including a star-gazing patio and a gym. Staying here made our trip special. Highly recommended.

Mailan Hale Hostel er staðsett í Kailua-Kona, í innan við 1 km fjarlægð frá Magic Sands Beach og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og sameiginlegri setustofu. It was a very family accommodation. The owner are very nice. They willingly shared their garden harvest to all of us. Store are near the place as well.
