Lakes Edge Lodge is just a 3-minute drive from Lake Tekapo town centre. A free shuttle service is available to and from Lake Tekapo bus terminal. facilities were awesome. great location. was very happy with it

Set in Omarama, Dunstan Downs High Country Sheep Station features a shared lounge. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. It’s the best deal you’ll find anywhere. Very basic and rustic but Comfortable and clean and does the job. Excellent wifi connection despite being in the middle of nowhere. A great hopping off point for day trips to lakes. Amazing star gazing at night!

Situated in Lake Tekapo, 45 km from Mt. Dobson, Stay In Tekapo Backpackers has a garden, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities, as well as free WiFi. Location was literally perfect being right next to Lake Tekapo and the Dark Sky Reserve office, which is the entire reason I stayed here. The rooms are quite big with enough space for beds, everyone's belongings, and people, so I never felt stuffy or cramped. The only thing is that be careful to time your showers because the bathrooms can get pretty full between 7-9 waiting for folks to shower. Overall GREAT value and I would stay here again. Check-in office was slightly unclear, but to reduce confusion, walk through the parking lot, there is a big building on your left and two building on the right after the parking lot. Tekapo Backpackers is the righ hand side building closest to The Greedy Cow and the check-in office is by the wooden gate to the LEFT of the actual Tekapo Backpackers building.
