It is definitely the place to stay along the coast and the social hosts do a great job of connecting different travellers and creating a good social vibe. The hostel has great facilities and it is noce relaxing by the pool.

Boasting a garden, terrace, BBQ facilities and free WiFi, Pranaya Hiriketiya is situated in Hiriketiya, 700 metres from Hiriketiya Beach and 1.6 km from Dickwella Beach. This is the best hostel I’ve stayed in. So comfortable, quiet, very clean and sweet. Only one room with 8 beds with makes it calm even if it’s fully booked. I enjoyed it so much. The cafe in the garden is great, with nice coffee and cake. There’s also a nice clothes shop🥰

I very much appreciate big, lockable storage room under every bed. Nice and clean toaletts and showers. Coworking space is extra 2250. But the internet is really fast, no power outages and 2 americanos are included per day

The location is amazing! It is a beautiful place in the middle of the jungle with lots of places to chill. The outside showers and toilets are really clean! The family is so helpful and it was so great to spend time with them. They make the place a really social place, the vibe is so good and I met so many other travellers because of that. I booked one night and kept extending. You definitely won't regret staying here!

We had the most incredible stay at JJ’s Hostel, spending eight nights in a private room, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and cleaned regularly, ensuring a relaxing and pleasant stay. The bathrooms were modern and spotless, and the entire property had a warm, welcoming feel. One of the highlights was the fantastic swimming pool—calm, clean, and the perfect place to unwind. The location is ideal, tucked away on a quiet street but just a short walk from the main road, beach, bars, and restaurants. It strikes the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. However, what truly makes JJ’s special is the staff. Lawrence and Iranga at reception went above and beyond to assist us, from booking trips to making sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness and genuine hospitality made a huge difference. The kitchen and cleaning staff were equally wonderful, always friendly and attentive. A special mention goes to Sophie, whose yoga classes were a highlight of our mornings, and Heaven, who made the social trips and activities so enjoyable. The atmosphere at JJ’s is unique—it felt like being part of one big family. This is not a party hostel, but rather a place where guests respect and welcome each other, creating a relaxed and friendly environment. If you’re looking for a place that offers comfort, cleanliness, a great location, and the most amazing staff, JJ’s is the place to be. We can’t recommend it enough!

JIB Hostel stands out as one of the most welcoming, accommodating, and comfortable hostels I have ever stayed. The owner, Jiny, was exceptionally helpful, providing valuable insights about Weligama. Her warm hospitality made me feel at ease as a newcomer to the area. The dormitory is spacious, and my bed was both clean and comfortable, offering ample room for all guests. The bathrooms are also large and well-equipped with necessary amenities. A notable feature of JIB Hostel is its restaurant, which serves a delightful array of Asian fusion dishes, including Korean, Thai, and Japanese cuisine, making it easy to find satisfying meal options. My stay at JIB Hostel was truly enjoyable, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to others.
