Kumano Backpackers is located in Tanabe and features a shared lounge and a communal kitchen. Great place! Hongu is a wonderful town. Staff were nice and location next to the Temple was a bonus. Rooms and common facilities were clean. Hostel is well run by a Buddhist monk.

Its also just a 10 minute walk to the harbour where you can take a boat to explore the BEAUTYFUL rocks in the ocean and to the left of that is a very nice beautiful walk along the ocean.
