Hongu is a wonderful town. Staff were nice and location next to the Temple was a bonus. Rooms and common facilities were clean. Hostel is well run by a Buddhist monk.

I slept well in my bunker bed for two nights. The location is only a few minute walk from Kii-Katsuura station and a 2 minute walk to the bus stop to Nachi waterfalls. Its also just a 10 minute walk to the harbour where you can take a boat to explore the BEAUTYFUL rocks in the ocean and to the left of that is a very nice beautiful walk along the ocean.
