Booked a family room although i am solo travelling due to availability, the room far exceeded my expectations, very spacious, comfortable and clean, cozy sofa with tv on youtube, more than enough amenities to suit your needs, provides free wine and sake with snacks (i did not drink any though) which is a huge plus, slight walk of around 15 minutes from Shingu station, price is very acceptable for what i experienced

Loved the hotel, the cafe, and the staff attention, they have bicycle rental, and I highly recommend exploring Kanazawa that way. Breakfast is very good and healthy, even if you only have one choice, the house made granola was delicious. Location is amazing as you can just walk to Omicho Market in about 2 minutes. Kanazawa was my favorite city visited during this trip, and I was able to enjoy it even more thanks to the staff advice and great accommodation.

Located in Tanabe, 7.9 km from Hosshinmon Oji Shrine, Kumano Backpackers provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a restaurant. Love everything, great location very close to Hongu bus station.The owners is so generous,he let us check in early (2pm) and gave us bread,banana,yogurt to reboot ourselves after a long trekking day. The house is very clean,full function kitchen to use ,free tea,coffee,snacks and jam. Bed room is comfy with heater provide. Bathroom is clean. Surprising Quiet room despite the house is on the main road. Very Recommended and definitely stay here again.

Located 1 km from Tanabe Ogigahama Beach, Buddha Guest House offers 1-star accommodation in Tanabe and features a garden. The great host who provided a lot sightseeing suggestions and helpful with my next travel plan, also provide a place let me meet with Taiwan and SH travellers on during staying (nov 18). Traditional, smelled of cypress, the owner was helpful and spoke excellent English. I felt I was staying in something old, but very well cared for.

GuestHouse AIZU is set in Tanabe, within 2.8 km of Kozan-ji Temple and 3 km of Tokei Shrine. Very available manager we open us in the night for train delay

Located in Susami, 24 km from Kishu Museum of Art, anakashico Hostel Kumano Kodo provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. I spend 5 super relaxing days in Susami to flee the busy cites of Japan. The Town packs everything you need to calm down and enjoy a peaceful time in Nature. There is a coffee, multiple restaurants, an izakaya and a supermarket within max. 15min walking distance. The Ocean is right across the street in 1min. walking distance and Susami is surrounded by beautiful hiking / pilgrimage trails, waterfalls and other small coastal towns that offer a variety of unique sightseeing spots or activites (you can find all information in the local tourism centre). Although the hostel is located near the street you dont get bothered by the car noises (there are hardly any cars passing by after 6pm). I came during november where there were only 2 other travelers besides me. While the other travelers passed by on a pilgrimage i stayed in susami and had a great time with sosuke, the super friendly and helpful hostel host, who sometimes invited his friends over and let me participate in their talks around the campfire or other local activities. Anakashico hostel and the entire South of Wakayama area is a place where i definately want to return to and continue to explore more of japans beautiful nature and slow and peaceful country side.
