Nagasaki Kagamiya 1 stars

Nagasaki

Nagasaki Kagamiya offers dorm beds and private Japanese rooms, a 5-minute walk from Hotarujaya Tram Station. It features a garden and a cosy shared lounge with free WiFi and a free-use internet pc. Ladies’ kimono rentals are available.

Private rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor, on which guests sleep in traditional futon bedding. Shared dormitory rooms come with bunk beds. Toilets and bathrooms are shared. This stay was the cherry on the top of my Kyushu trip, by far. The place is a bit far but the warm welcome from the owners is worth every yen. If you're looking for human authenticity and a place that feels like home look no further !

Midori Guesthouse&Hostel 1 stars

Tsushima

Situated in Tsushima, 2.1 km from Miuda Beach, Midori Guesthouse&Hostel features views of the mountain. Featuring a shared lounge, the 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Free private parking is available and the hostel also features bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Host was very considerate, and explained things to me concisely and thoroughly when I arrived so I didn't have to ask any questions. Room was very clean, quiet, small towels were provided and there was also underfloor heating which you can adjust yourself. I learned a little bit about the history of Tsushima and was recommended some of the places worth going to visit, before renting an electrical-assist bike for ¥1500 until 3pm. Good location with access to some nice shops nearby.

Mezame Hostel 1 stars

Nagasaki

Located in Nagasaki, within 1 km of Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and 1.6 km of Peace Park, Mezame Hostel provides accommodation with a bar. With a shared lounge, the 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The property is non-smoking and is set 1.6 km from Nagasaki Station. Very clean and organized, showers, sinks, common area, and beds were exceptionally clean. Felt very safe and welcoming. Was very quiet and easy to navigate, temperature in the rooms was perfectly on the cool side (but with plenty of blankets provided). Iron, ice water, toaster, and kitchenette in the common room. Beds felt very private for what they were. Everything you need in a hostel and much nicer than I expected for the price.

ROUTE - Cafe and Petit Hostel 2 stars

Nagasaki

ROUTE - Cafe and Petit Hostel is located in Nagasaki, within 2.6 km of Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and 3.2 km of Peace Park. This 2-star hostel offers a shared kitchen, luggage storage space and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 300 metres from Nagasaki Station. Very lovely and clean hostel, you get your own little cabin which was surprisingly big. The host was very nice, also prepared a cute breakfast. It was also very convenient that you could rent bikes immediately from the Hostel, they had the best collection of rental bikes I've seen in Japan, also the first time I had a rental bike that was not too small for me since I'm quite tall. E-bike is recommended as Nagasaki has many hills and you will get around much faster and with less sweat. If I come again to Nagasaki I will be coming back to Route.

Wagyu hostel nedoko

Nagasaki

Offering views of the river, Wagyu hostel nedoko is located in Nagasaki, 400 metres from Peace Park.

This air-conditioned hostel features free WiFi. For your comfort, you will find slippers. Guests can use personal lockers, which are offered on site. It‘s like staying at someone’s home, really. The beds are comfortable, everything is clean, and the owner is very welcoming. Everyone got a little amuse bouche, so to speak, when paying in cash. And it was so delicious. I read a lot about the rules. At first I thought they seemed strict, but really it‘s just basic manners. Just don‘t be rude, I got my deposit back, no problem.
