YHA Keswick ligger omgivet av vacker grönska i hjärtat av Keswicks livliga centrum, bara 10 minuters promenad från Lake Derwentwater. Här finns en restaurang och ett kök för självhushåll. The location beside a river is great. Too bad it was winter n we have to close our door. Our river facing balcony would be great in the summer. Receptionist is friendly and the house keeper is quick to help us with adjusting our room thermostat.

YHA Hawkshead är inrymt i en fantastisk herrgård från regentskapstiden med utsikt över Esthwaite Water. Här bor du i vackra omgivningar 1,5 km från byn Hawkshead. Det är ett fantastiskt gammalt ståtligt hus som ligger fint (men som tyvärr behöver renoveras). Bra läge och nära till Beatrix Potter museet samt Windermere om man tar färjan. Ambleside är ca 15 min åt andra hållet. Om man kör bil gäller nerver av stål. Mycket parkering. Vänlig personal. Om man ska köra till Wassdale för gå upp Scafell så är det ca 90 min körning.

The YHA Ambleside sits on the shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District. It offers a range of budget accommodation and a café serving local food. Everything… possibility to enjoy the lakes at its best And it is nice now with the white bedsheets!👏👏👏 It looks cleaner! Well done… Soon I’ll be back

Denton House ligger i marknadsstaden Keswick i hjärtat av Lake District National Park, bara 5 minuters promenad från Keswicks fritidscenter. WiFi och parkering är gratis. The member of staff who I met, Christina, was absolutely lovely. I was absolutely soaked and freezing after a walk on the Skiddaw tops but she let me check in early, which was a real bonus. Thank you, Christina. Fantastic single showers and a wonderful location. Car parking is free, and the Wi-Fi is good in the areas where it reaches - this included my dorm, Walla Cragg. Only a five minute walk into Keswick

Fisher-gill Camping Barn ligger i Thirlmere, inom 11 km från Derwentwater och 26 km från Buttermere, och erbjuder boende med en terrass och gratis privat parkering för gäster som anländer med bil. Beautiful location, driving there in the evening was lovely with it nestled in between the hills! Was expecting the basics because it's a barn, but had good shower, bathroom, kitchen that was VERY well equipped (microwave, fridge, cooking gear, kettle, plates, cutlery). You will need some coins for the shower but it lasts so long that you can probably let everyone in the barn shower with that pound! The host even put the fire on without us knowing to help dry our clothes/boots which was lovely. I saw a few previous reviews that said it was dirty on the floor.....i would like to make it clear that it is a BARN. The floor is dusty because people are walking around with their boots on, but everything else is spotless. It will be as clean as the people visiting allow it to be. Would definitely stay again, if you want a basic but lovely accommodation and if you're looking to walk all day and sleep in a warm bed at night for a cheap price it is perfect.

YHA Helvellyn ligger på den cumbriska landsbygden, bekvämt beläget för att besöka Lake District. Här finns gratis parkering och en bar. I emailed saying that we might be late for check in due to traffic. The manager replied promptly and tried to help me if the other YHA branch in Ambleside have an availability. However, there were no availabilities so we did our best to arrive on time. At exactly 10pm, we arrived on the post code but it was not the right place. There were some signal issues but in the end, the manager met us and directed us where to go and checked us in even after 10pm. For this, we are very grateful. 😊

The White Horse Inn Bunkhouse ligger i Threlkeld, 12 km från Derwentwater, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en terrass och en restaurang. Easy to get to! Location is one of the best.

YHA Coniston Holly How ligger i Coniston, 15 km från Lake Windermere, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Though a 5-8 minute walk into the centre of Coniston, the location is good! Draws under beds to lock precious items away (BYO lock). Warm, clean.
