YHA Keswick er umkringt fallegum gróðri í hjarta hins líflega miðbæjar Keswick og er í aðeins 10 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Derwentwater-vatni. Það er með veitingastað og eldhús með eldunaraðstöðu. The location beside a river is great. Too bad it was winter n we have to close our door. Our river facing balcony would be great in the summer. Receptionist is friendly and the house keeper is quick to help us with adjusting our room thermostat.

The YHA Ambleside sits on the shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District. It offers a range of budget accommodation and a café serving local food. Everything… possibility to enjoy the lakes at its best And it is nice now with the white bedsheets!👏👏👏 It looks cleaner! Well done… Soon I’ll be back

Denton House Hostel er staðsett í markaðsbænum Keswick í hjarta Lake District-þjóðgarðsins, í aðeins 5 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Keswick Leisure Centre. The member of staff who I met, Christina, was absolutely lovely. I was absolutely soaked and freezing after a walk on the Skiddaw tops but she let me check in early, which was a real bonus. Thank you, Christina. Fantastic single showers and a wonderful location. Car parking is free, and the Wi-Fi is good in the areas where it reaches - this included my dorm, Walla Cragg. Only a five minute walk into Keswick

Fisher-gill Camping Barn er staðsett í Thirlmere og býður upp á ókeypis bílastæði á staðnum og verönd. Beautiful location, driving there in the evening was lovely with it nestled in between the hills! Was expecting the basics because it's a barn, but had good shower, bathroom, kitchen that was VERY well equipped (microwave, fridge, cooking gear, kettle, plates, cutlery). You will need some coins for the shower but it lasts so long that you can probably let everyone in the barn shower with that pound! The host even put the fire on without us knowing to help dry our clothes/boots which was lovely. I saw a few previous reviews that said it was dirty on the floor.....i would like to make it clear that it is a BARN. The floor is dusty because people are walking around with their boots on, but everything else is spotless. It will be as clean as the people visiting allow it to be. Would definitely stay again, if you want a basic but lovely accommodation and if you're looking to walk all day and sleep in a warm bed at night for a cheap price it is perfect.

YHA Helvellyn er staðsett í Cumbrian-sveitinni og er þægilega staðsett til að heimsækja Lake District. Það er með ókeypis bílastæði á staðnum og bar. I emailed saying that we might be late for check in due to traffic. The manager replied promptly and tried to help me if the other YHA branch in Ambleside have an availability. However, there were no availabilities so we did our best to arrive on time. At exactly 10pm, we arrived on the post code but it was not the right place. There were some signal issues but in the end, the manager met us and directed us where to go and checked us in even after 10pm. For this, we are very grateful. 😊

The White Horse Inn Bunkhouse er staðsett í Threlkeld, 12 km frá Derwentwater, og býður upp á gistingu með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, verönd og veitingastað. Easy to get to! Location is one of the best.

YHA Holly-YHA Hvernig býður upp á gistingu í svefnsal í Coniston, í 10 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá Hawkshead, Ambleside. Though a 5-8 minute walk into the centre of Coniston, the location is good! Draws under beds to lock precious items away (BYO lock). Warm, clean.
