Situado numa deslumbrante mansão em estilo regência e com vistas para Esthwaite Water, o YHA Hawkshead encontra-se numa área belíssima, a cerca de 1,6 km da vila de Hawkshead. Loved this YHA. Short walk to Hawkshead village with a small shop, pubs and great ice cream! Some amazing walks had from here.

The YHA Ambleside sits on the shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District. It offers a range of budget accommodation and a café serving local food. It's a wonderful clean place. It has a huge kitchen. The facilities are great. Free water is available. It is a very nice foundation hostel by the lake. But the internet is very bad. I ask you to fix it.

O Denton House está localizado na cidade mercantil de Keswick, no coração do Parque Nacional Lake District, apenas a 5 minutos a pé do Centro de Lazer Keswick. The location was beautiful! It was across the street from the Greta River and right beside the old rail line that is now a walk/run/bike trail. It is a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of town and just over 10 minutes to Derwent Lake. My bed was in the annex with the main building with all the kitchen/dining area/common room in the neighbour building about 5 metres away. I loved everything!

Fisher-gill Camping Barn localiza-se em Thirlmere, a 11 km de Derwentwater e a 26 km de Buttermere. O alojamento dispõe de acomodações com um terraço e estacionamento privado gratuito. Beautiful location, driving there in the evening was lovely with it nestled in between the hills! Was expecting the basics because it's a barn, but had good shower, bathroom, kitchen that was VERY well equipped (microwave, fridge, cooking gear, kettle, plates, cutlery). You will need some coins for the shower but it lasts so long that you can probably let everyone in the barn shower with that pound! The host even put the fire on without us knowing to help dry our clothes/boots which was lovely. I saw a few previous reviews that said it was dirty on the floor.....i would like to make it clear that it is a BARN. The floor is dusty because people are walking around with their boots on, but everything else is spotless. It will be as clean as the people visiting allow it to be. Would definitely stay again, if you want a basic but lovely accommodation and if you're looking to walk all day and sleep in a warm bed at night for a cheap price it is perfect.

The White Horse Inn Bunkhouse encontra-se em Threlkeld, a 12 km de Derwentwater, e apresenta acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito, um terraço e um restaurante. Easy to get to! Location is one of the best.

YHA Coniston Holly How situa-se em Coniston, a 15 km de Lago de Windermere, e dispõe de acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito, um salão partilhado e um terraço. The room was spacious, with storage boxes provided under the beds. Multiple showers and bathrooms. Rooms cleaned daily. Great location to hiking nearby.

O YHA Langdale ocupa uma ampla mansão vitoriana, numa propriedade do National Trust, e dispõe de terrenos frondosos, de lareiras acolhedoras e de um restaurante. location, location, location. Now if you take the bus and walk from Grasmere, it’s a long uphill walk to the hostel. BUT once you arrive, you know it was worth it. The hostel / building is absolutely beautiful. The grounds were lush and green and I really enjoyed talking walks.

Esta casa de ardósia de Lakeland encontra-se a cerca de 800 metros acima da aldeia de Buttermere e é ideal para fazer caminhadas no famoso trilho de Haystacks. Staff extremely friendly and offered me directions for my planned walking routes the next day. Big building with self catering facilities, plenty of loos and showers. Food (dinner and breakfast) was very nice and in line with other YHA hostels I’ve stayed at. Big spacious lounge with superb views. Good location for hiking.
