I had a great stay here and would come back any time. Great to get to know new people.
Unfortunately, I just encountered it on my last day, but on the rooftop they have a chill area I can definitely recommend to check out (guess it's open until 8pm).

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Very comfortable beds, thought through facilities and layout, friendly and social hostel. The hostel was very tidy. It seems to successfully encourage people to be tidy and respectful. Enough facilities available. There’s a restaurant and small supermarket above the hostel.
Auto check in and key card for lockers and rooms. Very clean and comfortable cubicles. Right on the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Kitchen and laundry facilities. Awesome hostel.
Perfect location right on the beach for exploring the lovely town of Zarautz. Very clean hostel, comfortable beds, suitable for a family, Easy checkin.
Blai Blai Hostel is one of the best hostels I have stayed at out of 200+ hostels in 10 years of walking on Caminos in Spain.
The facilities are perfect - excellent private cabin beds, with every little detail thought of. Ample showers and space, nice salon, very clear and still friendly posters with rules and tips. Coffee machine with capsules,
And the lady managing the hostel is very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Thank you for a great stay and rest on the Camino del Norte!
Great location, very clean hostel with good amenities, and an awesome and very friendly host. Great hostel with everything you need at an acceptable price. Supermarket is literally 30 steps away also!
If you are a pilgrim, the cheapest room is still a highlight, compared to the hostels I had before. But if I would have been a normal tourist, I would have been really disapointed:
Comfy bunk beds with a curtain for privacy on each one. USB port within bed cubicle to charge phone.
Perfect location, right opposite the beach
Really friendly and helpful staff
Back garden to hang out in
Little cafe attached to the hostel for brunch and really good coffee (and a discount for hostel guests!)
Good showers in shared bathrooms
