Beautifully designed, and the garden was a sanctuary. We had a wonderful meal in the garden cooked by the host’s family at short notice, on a table made from an old fashioned bicycle, with twinkly strings of lights everywhere.

We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The dinner was really good and absolutely recommendable. She answered all our questions and even booked a transfer for us to go to Phu Quoc. Moreover she showed us places to watch the sunset, so we could go there by the free bikes she offers. During the day we did a boat tour with her brother on the Mekong river which was really nice as well. When we came home Oanh prepared lunch which was also included in the 5-hour, 16 $ boat trip. Even if the rooms are quite simple (but well equipped with mosquito nets and AC) , everything was really clean and you can relax in the hammocks in front of her house.

Breakfast good and plentiful. We stayed for two weeks and they never served the same thing twice in a row. Items off menu for other meals were delicious. There are not a lot of eating options on the island but after two weeks we scoped out everything to be had. The location was lovely and the grounds were beautifully kept. The free bicycles were a bonus.

Fruit provided with every meal (the staff will advise you that there is generally a long wait time). Loved the privacy and peace of the river cottage.

Sông Mê homestay is a hidden gem in Vinh Long. The property is gorgeous and lush, our room had a beautiful balcony, and the beds were very comfortable. The family was incredibly welcoming and we were even invited to their Rambutan orchard during the harvest. We really hope to return and stay longer.

We had dinner and it was very good. The next day we took 2 bicycles and visit around for few hours. In general a good experience.
