This property is located in a beautiful mangrove forest. It’s so peaceful and surrounded by nature! The staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful and memorable. The kayak ride from the lodge to the beach was fabulous, and food (breakfast & dinner) was excellent!

Very quiet relaxing spot with well designed units. The service and food were excellent. An enjoyable 15 minute bicycle (they are free) ride to Elements Resort on the beach. The owner Anushka is a wealth of knowledge and was able to organize dolphin watching and onward travel for a reasonable price.

Backwaters Lodge ligger i Wilpattu og tilbyder indkvartering med opholdsområde. Overnatningsstedet har døgnåben reception og picnicområde. Ombyggede 20-fods containere til fine værelser med badeværelse og balkon i træhøjde, så vi kunne følge med i dyrelivet udenfor. Ikke noget luksus, men fint og funktionelt. Super sødt og serviceminded personale, særligt deres hotel manager var et hit for stedet. Flydende engelsk, meget omsorgsfuld - super professionel. Udover safari i Wilpattu, var vi på Sunset Safari fra hotellet og på en guidet gåtur i området med en af de ansatte. En virkelig smuk og spændende tur, der varmt kan anbefales. Området er fantastisk smukt med rismarker, søer og regnskov - og masser af dyr. Og maden på Backwaters er et kapitel for sig selv, hvis man gerne vil smage rigtig srilankansk mad. Det var vildt lækkert og meget varieret. Vores varmeste anbefalinger af dette sted - vi kunne sagtens være blevet mere end 3 dage!

Amazing hospitality, attentive staff, very comfortable rooms and the food was lovely too!We saw some amazing animals on the property on our guided walks, and the guide was very knowledgeable. The location is perfect—just a short stroll to the beach—and the value for what you get is truly unmatched. The food was incredible, with fresh, delicious options every day that made every meal feel special. The customer service was outstanding, and the host made all the difference. They were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help with anything I needed. Honestly, I might have taken advantage of their generosity a little (they were just that amazing!). Whether it was arranging activities, offering local tips, or simply ensuring I was comfortable, they went above and beyond every step of the way. If you're looking for a relaxing, memorable stay with exceptional service, incredible food, and great value near the beach, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Holiday Hotel ligger kun 1,2 km fra Kammala Strand og tilbyder indkvartering i Dummaladeniya East med adgang til have, fælles opholdsstue og fælles køkken. Der er døgnåben reception og udendørs pejs. Totally exceeded our expectations! Even better than the photos and super friendly people treat you just like family. Such a clan and nicely decorated place and super comfortable beds, comforter and fluffy pillows on a soft bed. just what we needed! Also about as close as you can get to the rickshaw run start line so was a super location for us. No hot water but we didn’t even miss it.

Green Sapphire Holiday Resort Wilpaththu ligger 35 km fra Kumbichchan Kulama Tank og tilbyder indkvartering med balkon samt gratis cykler og have. Perfect location with a beautiful garden and a view of the rice fields. We had fantastic experience at this place. The staff was truly amazing and helped us with all our needs. We did the safari, and it was organized perfectly, in all the details. The guide did his best to show us all the animals at the national park, for example, a leopard, elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, monitor lizards, many birds and other animals. Especially we saw the bear. The room was great, and very clean. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing with the nice garden in front of our room and the food was delicious, Specially sri lankan rice and curry was so good. The hotel has bicycles and we rode them in the village. Great to hand out in the hammoks in the garden and we saw the sunset at evening. Wish I could have spend longer time there & highly recommend green sapphire.

The guest house it’s been probably one of the cosiest place I ever been to, simple but just perfect! The facilities were working super good, the place was nice and clean and I was warmly welcomed to feel comfortable straight away! Sifras is an absolute legend, young, motivated and really good energy! Definitely recommended, it’s one of the best place I’ve been into so far in Sri Lanka.
