Located in Nanto and only 48 km from Kanazawa Castle, Guest House Takazuri-KITA provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. It is our second time there! :) The hosts are super nice and they took care of all of us. We felt very well looked after! The guesthouse is located some minutes driving to Ainokura old village and it is so beautiful. You can trully feel the spirit of traditional Japan there :) I remembered they offered snacks, but I didn't know it was possible to have dinner too. I would like to try it next time! :) The three snacks we ordered (popcorn, grape and nut cake and bear ham) were delicious :)

She made us breakfast upon request (need to order 3 days before the stay). Food is delicious, especially the firm Gokayama tofu and original dip she made! The location is perfect if you are coming from Shirakawago like us. It is in Gokayama which is also a heritage site. They have gassho houses that are equally beautiful and not as crowded as Shirakawago. We felt at home at Guest House Yamashita-ya. Hope we get a chance to stay again!

Minshuku Yomoshirou is located in Nanto, 43 km from Kenrokuen Garden, 25 km from Shirakawago, as well as 45 km from Myoryuji - Ninja Temple. The place looked nice and ckean. My hosts were very kind and welcoming. I had an authentic Japanese village experience.
