Our stay here was amazing. The owner was so warm and welcoming, and she gave us a real taste of Japanese culture by showing us around the charming town of Kinomoto, known for its soy sauce and sake. She speaks English, so it’s easy to learn about the town’s history and traditions. It is also a stone-throw away to the main city of Nagahama with a short train ride. The home was super comfortable and perfect for my family of four—it was such a special experience.

We had a great stay in this traditional little house ! Everything is clean, the kitchen is very well equipped, we loved the bathroom with a view of the surrounding fields and mountains. The family is lovely and has a great sense of hospitality. We will come back !

The house is clean, spacious, and nearby to most of the tourist attractions. The owner is very lovely, helpful and responsive. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Omihachiman.

It’s a traditional Japanese cabin in the mountains. The shoji screens and the zen garden made it a really relaxing and cozy visit. One of my favorite accommodations through my journey in Japan. They have WiFi, and a modern toilet. The kitchen is a bit old and not up to modern standards but it works just fine. If you want a place away from the bustling cities, and really want to relax and also get a feel for an authentic Japanese cabin I can highly recommend it. Word of advice is to get food before you arrive as it is far from any stores, but I was informed of this before arrival so I had time to plan. The hostess was super friendly and very helpful It’s an old cabin and it shows, don’t expect a newly renovated house, but it gave it an authentic feeling. There’s also no AC, but with it being in the mountains and the shoji screens it didn’t get too hot at night. Also the insects make a lot of noise Wish I stayed more than one night

静かに過ごす古民家ステイ Staying quietly in renovated house cung cấp chỗ nghỉ nằm ở Takashima, cách Chùa Ruriko-in 48 km và Đền Enryaku-ji 49 km. The owners were so friendly and caring! It was such a lovely experience staying with them! If you want to have a relaxing day in a countryside area and just want to experience the laid back life there I recommend you to stay there. Besides it's not far to go to lake biwa by a little walking and to go to imazu to catch a ferry to chikubu Island.
