The dorm, where you basically sleep in the open, the common area, everything. It is a place where you will find chill people, can enjoy surfing with literally no people in the water (apart from the people staying at Harry´s and few locals) and not many other tourists. For me it is the spot to learn how to surf, since it is a beach break (safe), only few surfers, but still some good swell. It is perfect for relaxing and extending your stay to more than just a few days (I ended up staying a month). You can rent a surfboard and scooter for a really fair price (cheapest I have had in my travels). Tina and Gayun who run the hostel are super friendly too. I am already planning to come back at the end of my travels :)

I truly recommend to book the night within the national park where you will have the opportunity to observe adult turtles laying eggs on the beach at night and at sunset you will release newborn turtles from previous nests. There is a great turtle conservation project in here and it is worth to contribute to it. Lastly, the host, guides and rangers truly care about this park and supporting local populations, this is a must-to-visit place!

Situada em Banyuwangi, a Mocca Guest House dispõe de WiFi gratuito e unidades equipadas com cozinha, varanda e área de estar. I liked absolutely everything. This homestay is one of the cleanest I have stayed at in my two month trip to Indonesia. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the place looks new and well cared for. The wifi was working perfectly, just like the AC. The room smelled good. It is also very quiet, so I slept like a baby. I stayed in the twin room.. But most of all, the owners, Annie indah and her husband Johannes are the most caring, helpful and friendly people ever! They took good care of me since the moment I arrived by giving me all sort of advice and even helped me book the train ticket! They even invited me for a tea with freshly baked cake. And the breakfast is delicious, a full meal. Annie Indah is a great cook. I really felt at home! If you are in Banyuwangi don't miss the opportunity to stay at this place!

The host is wonderful and super helpful with planning tours to Ijen, renting motorbike and any other inquiries you may have. He was easy to communicate with and gave us great tips on local places to go check out. He makes a great breakfast and even made sure we had fried bananas as a snack before leaving for our Mount Ijen tour at midnight. He really makes this homestay have tremendous value! The rooms and bathroom were clean and spacious. It was nice to have the toilet and shower separated by a small wall and there was hot water in the shower. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well enough to keep us cool. The WiFi worked well, as we had no issues when browsing the internet and looking at reviews of places/tours. My wife and I had a wonderful stay here and I would highly recommend. Great base for Ijen tours.

Localizado a 31 km de Watu Dodol, em Banyuwangi, o Mi Casa - The gem of Ijen oferece acomodações com área de estar. we loved staying at Mi Casa for three nights with our two young children despite unseasonably heavy rain while we were there. the cottages are spacious, comfortable and really private. the garden and pool are gorgeous - our girls loved exploring, feeding the fish and pretending to otters, inspired by the owners pets. Erika and Marc made us feel really welcome in their beautiful home. food in the restaurant by Rico was delicious!

O Simplicity by Snooze é uma hospedagem domiciliar recentemente renovada, situada no bairro de Banyuwangi, em Banyuwangi. Perfect place for people who want to rest. It’s not a social place so it’s ideal for people who are not looking to socialise - although you can go next door to their other branch which has a lovely social area. Room is massive, clean, and amazing value for money. I would defo stay here again.
