Set 400 metres from Rajegwesi Beach, Java Turtle Lodge Meru Betiri offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. Hotel is really well maintained with nice rooms and essentially a private beach out the back door. Didn't have time to see the turtles, but spent two nights relaxing and made a visit to the Green Bay thanks to the owner Hadi who took me on his motorbike. It's tough to get to, but it's a great place to break up a journey between Java and Bali or vice versa. Make sure you have your own transport or arrange pick up in advance.

The food cooked by Rico was amazing. We ate there every night. In the surrounding area, we also enjoyed the walk through the villages and rice fields.
