Situated in Edinburgh and only 1.9 km from University of Edinburgh, Lauderville guest house features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. We chose Lauderville Guest House to stay in while we visited Edinburgh earlier this month (June 2024). We highly recommend it. Simon was our fantastic host. Before we arrived, he had contacted us and provided all necessary information. Simon is very open and always ready to help. Our room was very cosy and impeccable - I mean, we were stunned by how clean and tidy the room had been. Homemade breakfasts were delicious. The Lauderville Guest House is in a very good location - only a few stops away from the city centre. We had not trouble getting to the airport, through the city centre, and early in the morning - we used the night public transport service, but everything went smooth. Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Straven Guesthouse provides accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi. Chris and Sinead were incredible hosts and made us feel at home from check-in. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to each day. It was restaurant quality (wife asked for a recipe) and the soft background music (personal note here) was spot on. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property is located near a bus stop, so getting around isn’t an issue. Lastly, it’s a 2 minute (max) skip down to the beach. It’s one block away.

Set in East Calder and only 16 km from Murrayfield Stadium, Ashcroft Farmhouse offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Great location, excellent breakfast, stellar and accommodating hostess, will book again if I'm in the area!

Set 1.1 km from Butterfly & Insect World, Glenarch House is in Dalkeith and features a garden and a terrace. The accommodation is 2.1 km from the Dalkeith Country Park. We had a great stay at Glenarch House which is very quiet and in the same time close enough to Edinburg, easy to get to by train (20mn). The studio room was very confortable and comfy with all the facilities you need. Spacious and clean bathroom Glenarch House is a gorgeous property with a stunning garden. And, ice on the cake, Nicola our host was very kind, friendly and helpful.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the BroomHouse Home Stay. Alberto and Eleonora thought of LEGIT everything when turning their extra bedroom and home into a place for guests to stay! They had a book full of suggestions of attractions and food. They also included information for different ways to get around the city and the prices. They had maps, guide books, information, history on the area, etc. They also provided a "kitchen" area with materials to make coffee/tea, a package of cookies, water, cups, microwave, mini fridge, and eating utensils. Their directions and information leading up to arrival were extremely helpful and informative.
