Best possible place to stay in Otavalo in my opinion. The location with beautiful view and terace, but still less than 10 mins walking to the centre. The rooms are brautifully equipped with everything you need.. You can even use the kitchen to prepare your food. Last but not least the owners and employees are incredibely kind and hospitable people. Muchas gracias!!

Loved our host, very sweet people and didn't mind me using Google translate to communicate better. He even took us to a few places most visitors probably don't think about. They prepared us dinner one night which was great! The house is super cute and clean, love the view to the lake. The town is safe to walk I'm at night. Make sure to go to Bambu Grill. Great place to eat.

I had an excellent stay at Refugio Terra Esperanza. Emerson was so helpful in answering all my questions. Excellent services. He cooked me breakfast for $3 and helped me call a taxi to Cumbre Imbabura (which I highly recommend). The place itself is rustic, but charming and cozy. It has great views of Imbabura and Cayambe, so definitely try to wake up early for that. Overall, I would highly recommend this refugio to anyone traveling here. Emerson is a great host and I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you Emerson!

Crossed by a waterfall, this ethnic-style house in Peguche, 3 km from Otavalo, features rooms with views of the Andes and Valley of Dawn. Free Wi-Fi and parking are available. This hotel exceeded my expectations! It was so authentic with great architecture and atmosphere. Marcus (the owner) and Isolina were super-friendly. The room was so clean, my wife and I loved the beds, patio, fireplace, and views. The breakfast/dinner area is so authentic too, you feel it's like a museum. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. Also, Cascada de Peguche (waterfall) is only 10 mins away. Thank you Marcus and Isolina for the great experience! I highly recommend this place if you are heading to Otavalo.
