The host, Victor, was so helpful and patient with my questions. The bed was comfortable, the setting was gorgeous. Also the food!!! There Was so much of it and it kept coming. This was the best food I've eaten on this trip so far.

Lovely family-run hostel, ideal stop especially for vegetarians as Doña Clarita cooks excellent veggie food, often of the kind that is hard to come by in Ecuador, such as chickpea curry. When it gets cold, there is a hearth to ignite a proper Hygge atmosphere. Coffee round the clock, cuddly cat and two dogs included!

Hostal Taita Cristobal is a recently renovated guest house in Isinliví, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Everything. Room was nice, hot shower very good food and also very nice staff.

Walter and Narcisa were so kind to us! It felt more like a home stay than a hostal. They even arranged a special breakfast for my husbands birthday! I would absolutely recommend this hostal to anyone! The shower was hot, the beds were comfortable, and the food was delicious. There is also a lovely patio space upstairs.

It is a wonderful place located among volcanoes. From here I went to climb the Cotopaxi volcano, an amazing experience I recommend to all. In the afternoon we enjoyed doing a BBQ. Incredibly friendly family who all go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and happy. We ate delicious food, received loads of local knowledge of places to visit, and slept very well in their comfortable beds. The shower is next level.

You can rent everything you for the hiking tours in the surroundings at the hostel. Big plus: you can see the Cotopaxi Volcano from the roof terrace and the host welcomed us with local shots.
