The place was absolutely lovely, and the host was so kind and caring! Breakfast every morning was delicious, and Alberto assisted us with great recommendations and things to do/see.

Situated in Puerto Viejo and only less than 1 km from Negra Beach, Kalawala features accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. We loved the closeness to town and the bakery, as well as the discount at the bakery. It was a very cozy spot and the bedrooms were great and very comfortable.

Hosts have decorated the place with very much attention and care. They love to help and share their stories with their guests. Breakfast was prepared fresh and homemade, according to our wishes. They even let our friends sleep in the car for free in their backyard. Internet was fast 100+ mbps. We felt very relaxed at their place. If you want to stay away from the noises and get relaxed, this is the place for you.

Offering a terrace and garden view, Jungle Beach Bungalow with AC & Fiber optic is situated in Puerto Viejo, 700 metres from Cocles Beach and 2.5 km from Jaguar Rescue Center. This place was perfect for a little getaway. Well equipped with everything from washing machines to coffee makers and a stove. It was quiet, comfortable and not too far away from the beach, great restaurants or the excitement of town.

Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Cahuita Inn offers accommodation in Cahuita. Guests can enjoy the next-door Pizzeria Cahuita restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Well designed, bright, spacious rooms, with both a purified water dispenser and coffee machine. Lovey individual sitting area/deck with comfortable furniture outside each room. Restaurant was excellent. Especially liked the deck overlooking the sea. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Offering a shared lounge and inner courtyard view, Cabinas Cahuita is located in Cahuita, 300 metres from Blanca and 1.1 km from Negra. The location was perfect for visiting the Cahuita National Park - and also close to other amenities like grocery stores and restaurants. Everything was within 5 mins walking. The host was amazing - she provided a lot of local information including best sites and shops. She even knew the 'usual spots' where sloths would hang out. Thanks to her advice we saw sloths and even kinkajous in the evening. Rooms are cozy and have everything you need: AC and hot water.

Set in Cahuita and only 100 metres from Negra, Casa Aldirica offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Excellent location to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. It’s a birder’s paradise with lots of birds and wildlife visible from the deck and beautiful garden. Owner is very nice, attentive and helpful. Just renovated with good taste and mosquito screens so you can sleep with windows open and hear the wildlife and the waves.

Situated 600 metres from Tortuguero Beach, H et L offers 4-star accommodation in Tortuguero and features a garden. The homestay has family rooms. Hugo the host was excellent, helping to arrange arrival by boat and then various excursions. The accommodation was of a high standard / modern and I have no trouble in recommending .... and I am a fussy person. I would also recommend the guided night walk Hugo arranged with Bernardo. It was fascinating and we saw so much wildlife that we wouldn't have seen without his expert knowledge.
