We noticed the place was rated “the most elegant courtyard” in town upon arrival, and it surely felt that way. Everywhere you turn, it is a picture-perfect scene directly cut from a book or a movie. There are tea sets on table and newly harvested tea. A fruit plate was filled with the day’s fresh choices. Books are real, good books, not those only put there for decoration. The hotel staff was also very helpful. Seeing that we sometimes left our door ajar, she thoughtfully ignited mosquito-repellent herds around the vicinity. It is a place one might feel like living in a dream, surrounded by the ambiance of thousands of years of traditional Chinese culture. The moment you entered the hotel and closed the door behind you, you leave the hustling, bustling world outside, and entered one serene, zen and beautiful.

Located within 25 km of Jinji Lake and 28 km of Hanshan Temple, Begonia Flowers Guesthouse provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Suzhou. The host is supportive. The place is pretty, very local-style. The room even smells of good wood, which I love. They offer filter faucet in each room for direct water drinking. I highly recommend Begonia Flowers, not mention the good location in the heart of the town.

Fantastic location near the famous PingJiang road. Well communicated in advance and host came out to pick us up from taxi drop off point, host offered cold drink and lots of useful information. Very friendly staff. The room has a spare sofa and spare duvet which is very useful for our family of three.
