The host provided us with excellent service and although there were language barrier problems, he was kind and patient with us. He helped carry heavy bags up the stairs then proceeded to show how the different functions in the room works, all of which he patiently translated through the phone. We highly recommend this property, especially to tourists, because although the host’s English isn’t strong, he will be patient and willing to help.

We noticed the place was rated “the most elegant courtyard” in town upon arrival, and it surely felt that way. It was designed in the style of traditional Chinese courtyard, with beautiful, living plants tastefully positioned throughout the property and in rooms - the hostess is also a floral artist. Everywhere you turn, it is a picture-perfect scene directly cut from a book or a movie. There are tea sets on table and newly harvested tea. A fruit plate was filled with the day’s fresh choices. Books are real, good books, not those only put there for decoration. The hotel staff was also very helpful. Seeing that we sometimes left our door ajar, she thoughtfully ignited mosquito-repellent herds around the vicinity. It is a place one might feel like living in a dream, surrounded by the ambiance of thousands of years of traditional Chinese culture. The moment you entered the hotel and closed the door behind you, you leave the hustling, bustling world outside, and entered one serene, zen and beautiful.

Begonia Flowers Guesthouse asub Suzhous, Jinji järvest 25 km ja Hanshani templist 28 km kaugusel. Tubades on konditsioneer ja privaatne vannituba. I stayed on the rooftop. I had a wonderful stay. The host was very responsive and helpful. The guesthouse has an old charm but it definitely contains modern amenities like heater/ac, hot cold water, wifi, tv, electric water kettle, and universal outlets. The owner even dropped me off the bus station.

Having Anni the miniature poodle around with us in the property is another plus point!
