This was one of our favorite hotels from our most recent bicycle tour. The place was modern, immaculately clean, and built to be comfortable. The rooms are built around a beautiful little courtyard. Breakfast was excellent, and our eggs were delivered by charming little guy who was being closely supervised by our host. Bicycle storage was good, and easily accessible. We would absolutely stay here again.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Goldene Wachau - Privatzimmer is a recently renovated homestay located in Aggsbach, 10 km from Melk Abbey. Gabriele and Georg were incredibly invested and enthusiastic hosts who also gave us invaluable tips for our short stay. Their 400 year old beautifully rennovated house is full of antique treasures. The house is directly by the Danube with two small swimmable beaches right there.

Offering garden views, Gästezimmer Ilse Brauneis is an accommodation situated in Mautern, 36 km from Melk Abbey and 7.2 km from Dürnstein Castle. This was a real find for us, just the kind of stay we love, friendly, personal and kind. Great room and bathroom, with the best shower of our long trip. We arrive after a long ride due to the flood road and path closures, we able to give the bikes a host off before putting them in the shed. The garden and yard are just lovely, you can sit and have beer or coffee in the afternoon. Just wished we could have stayed longer.

Situated in Erlauf and only 18 km from Melk Abbey, Harrauer´s Living features accommodation with inner courtyard views, free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was excellent.

Gästezimmer Rolea is situated in Dürnstein, a few steps from Dürnstein Castle, 28 km from Herzogenburg Monastery, and 40 km from Ottenstein Castle. Lovely stay, very modern looking and comfortable. The rooms had balcony which we really enjoyed. And not to mention AC which was a godsend considering how hot the temperatures were. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, lots of options to choose from and homemade cakes and brownies made by Mrs Rolea which were delicious. The stay was very close to town and restaurants / wine tasting places, and Durnstein Castle was within a short hike distance, could see it from the balcony (altough we didn't have time to visit). Perfectly pleased with the accommodation, couldn't have asked for more.

Offering inner courtyard views, Weinhof - Gästehaus Maier is an accommodation set in Angern, 42 km from Melk Abbey and 14 km from Dürnstein Castle. The location was great. The hosts provided us with restaurant recommendations for dinner. Also, their breakfast was great. I would stay here again.

Boasting mountain views, Bauernhof Ablass features accommodation with balcony, around 45 km from Sonntagberg Basilica. The hosts are amazing. Their breakfast was superb! Majestic location, peaceful and just lovely

Featuring quiet street views, Appartment Haring provides accommodation with a garden, around 40 km from Gaming Charterhouse. We loved our stay in very cozy apartment, 2 rooms fit perfectly for us. Everything what we needed was in there. It was very quite , we slept comfortable. Our kids loved breakfast , super delicious ! Mrs and Mr are very kind people. We will come back for sure. Thank you
