Renovated in 2015, IORI Stay is nestled in Takayama. This traditional Japanese-style townhouse was created in collaboration with local artists and boasts designs with both modern and traditional... We liked everything! Chi (the hostess for the property) was amazing!! She made sure we felt well cared for and comfortable! She even took us to the bus station very early on a Saturday morning. The place was a house on the river...it was really lovely!

A recently renovated property, Komorebi/こもれび is set in Takayama near Takayama Station, Sakurayama Hachiman Shrine and Fuji Folk Museum. Very cute, comfortable, and spacious. Location a block off the Higashiyama walking course! WiFi was good, management was responsive and helpful.

In the Takayama Old Town district of Takayama, close to Fuji Folk Museum, RIKKA BABA ICHI has free WiFi and a washing machine. With city views, this accommodation features a patio. The place was beautiful! It is a modern apartment made in the traditional Japanese style… with all modern conveniences. Everything looked brand new and it was super clean. The hosts also left special touches like slippers, tea, sweats, and already made futon beds. The host also communicated well and timely when we reached out. The location is fantastic… right by the library and very close to the old town. Very comfortable and in a very quiet setting with great views out of the very large windows and sliding glass doors.

Located in Kani and only 30 km from Nagoya Castle, 大正の宿 浪漫邸 provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The rooms are very spacious and there is a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. There is also a garden and small pond which makes the place looks very relaxing. Very traditional house.

Situated in Takayama in the Gifu region, with Sakurayama Hachiman Shrine and Fuji Folk Museum nearby, SORAMACHI - Vacation STAY 14338 provides accommodation with free private parking. Soramachi was a very comfortable house with good facilities. Probably the most spacious and nicest accomodation we experienced in our travels through Japan. Only stayed 2 nights but it provided a relaxing and quiet break from the crowds elsewhere. The house is right on the river and close to a tranquil temple walk and public bathhouse . It is an easy walk from there to the old quarter and we walked to the house with luggage from the station ( 1.4 km). The owners are obviously very house proud and welcoming. Highly recommend this accomodation.
