Hida is a magical little town and this lovely apartment is the perfect base. It is situated along the canal, beautifully designed with traditional decor and modern amenities. A gorgeous breakfast is delivered each day, and the host is more than generous with helpful advice and special treats. We didn’t want to leave!

Such a memorable stay in the middle of an iconic area. The welcome by the hosts was so warm and we loved the interior design of the space so much. The building g is an ode to Japanese design and featured amazing amenities like a Japanese hinoki wood tub plus local Hida Furniture from Kashiwa.

It looks like a very traditional Japanese house, in a good way. Also I really like the location, it's on the edge of the forest. The kitchen was fully equipped. In general, it is a very relaxing place. I wish I could stay there longer...

Exceptional property. Exquisitely renovated with an artistic eye for detail! It was so comfortable, and it was very lovely to experience traditional ryokan style with such a cool contemporary edge. we thoroughly enjoyed the property and the city. Loved the traditional key to get in!! it was a gorgeous touch. The bathroom is fabulous, and stocked with everything you can imagine. The kitchen is also gorgeous and stocked with everything you need to prepare food, plus an eclectic collection of ceramics.

Everything is so advance and the decorations are beautiful. The beds are the best we have had in our trip to Japan. Everything is provided , very thoughtful of the host and we were able to contact the host easily .
