A gorgeous breakfast is delivered each day, and the host is more than generous with helpful advice and special treats. We didn’t want to leave!

A recently renovated property, Komorebi/こもれび is set in Takayama near Takayama Station, Sakurayama Hachiman Shrine and Fuji Folk Museum. It looks like a very traditional Japanese house, in a good way. Also I really like the location, it's on the edge of the forest. The kitchen was fully equipped. In general, it is a very relaxing place. I wish I could stay there longer...

Exquisitely renovated with an artistic eye for detail! It was so comfortable, and it was very lovely to experience traditional ryokan style with such a cool contemporary edge. we thoroughly enjoyed the property and the city. Loved the traditional key to get in!! it was a gorgeous touch. The bathroom is fabulous, and stocked with everything you can imagine. The kitchen is also gorgeous and stocked with everything you need to prepare food, plus an eclectic collection of ceramics.

In the Takayama Old Town district of Takayama, close to Fuji Folk Museum, RIKKA BABA ICHI has free WiFi and a washing machine. With city views, this accommodation features a patio. My stay at this traditional Japanese ryokan was exceptional. The place was impeccably clean, incredibly peaceful, and well-equipped with all necessary amenities.

Attractively situated in the centre of Takayama, HIDA TAKAYAMA BASE - Traditional Japanese Garage House with Private Sauna is a recently renovated holiday home, which features free WiFi, free bikes... Love this little house. Everything is so advance and the decorations are beautiful. The beds are the best we have had in our trip to Japan. Everything is provided , very thoughtful of the host and we were able to contact the host easily .
