Located in Kilkenny, in a historic building, 17 km from Kilkenny Railway Station, Mountrothe House is a holiday home with a garden and shared lounge. We were a group of friends on a weekend away and had an amazing stay at this country house. Very well equipped kitchen (including a welcome hamper), lovely outdoor BBQ area at back and sun room. Beds are very comfortable. Derek and Emily were very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again - this place is a gem.

Quirky house that was clearly loved. Very clean. Mary the host was lovely and so helpful. Very generously left us chocolates, wine and a lovely cake. There were tea bags and a bag of coffee beans! Mary clearly tries to make people’s stays very comfortable. There’s a great big garden and gazebo area, just made for parties. There are 3 properties beside each other. The folly, another large house suitable for a large party and the host’s own house. Mary was really lovely and we didn’t feel that it mattered that she lived so close by. It’s a bit out of town on a small country road. We walked to the Hoban hotel, about 10 minutes. Would be very happy to return there again.

Literally everything was brilliant: the house is quite new and modern, very cozy with decorations. There was even a Christmas tree. Beautiful view, lots of space. Even boardgames are at the location. Niamh was so reliable in communication and provided many details and insights which were super useful. Very easy check in

Great town, fun friendly staff. Fred, the host was super accommodating, friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home. Geroid the bartender was outstanding. Less than 1 km from Mount Juliet Golf Club in Oldtown, Luxury 4 bedroom Lodge Mount Juliet Estate Thomastown Kilkenny provides accommodation with access to a sauna, spa facilities and beauty services.... The location was wonderful. The host was so good! She had left us sandwich fixings which came in very handy after traveling all night with 2 small children from the States. Our stay was very pleasant!
