This place is the best we could ask for . The garden is so pretty and the flowers and plants are so harmoniously cultivated, we took many pictures , and we have already recommended this place to some of our friends if they ever want to visit New Zealand. We are so lucky to have stayed at Bridgehaven Guesthouse and we didn’t want to leave .

Hosts flexible and very communicative. Exactly the sort of place we were looking for between Auckland and Rotorua. Comfortable beds. Super-clean and tidy. Fresh jumbo eggs and streaky bacon, bread, jams provided for breakfast. Delicious. The best part, though we only met for a few minutes as we departed ( we had arrived late after a flight ), was our host couple, Andrea and Bill. Couldn’t have been more lovely. They were so cheerful, friendly and welcoming.., genuinely interested in our travels and free with tips to make our NZ stay pleasant. Gifted us a rosemary sprig and lemon from their garden as antidote to the hideous air freshener which suffused our rental car. Outstanding folks.

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the view from the deck. This was a great place with lots of room and a private bedroom for my son. We also loved playing pool on the billiards table. Basic breakfast was provided and I loved the cooking facilities including the barbeque. Great laundry facilities were a bonus.

The guest house features family rooms. Great location , short walk into town centre . Very comfortable bed and everything one could need for breakfast. Great choice of coffee . Perfect in every way for us .
