The owner Ai is one of the kindest, coolest humans I've met in Japan. As a solo traveller I couldn't have asked for a better place to base myself to enjoy the snow and Myoko. Baco Myoko has an unassuming facade hiding a relaxed, comfortable haven to kick back in after riding the surrounding mountains. Ai has great knowledge of the area when it comes to eating and good advice on mountains to ski for the current conditions. A great place to meet people if adventuring alone, private onsens, shuttles to the mountains and great breakfasts are all part of the package.I know how hard it is to sort through all the accomodation options in myoko, trust me and stay with Ai for your trip. You won't regret it

YAKATA - Vacation STAY 58651v ligger i Yuzawa, 22 km från Naeba skidanläggning och 9,1 km från Maiko skidområde, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. Superior experience! The host Mina and her mom are very kind and offer great service! Mina is fluent in English and always tries her best to make sure I enjoy the stay. Stayed in the single room, the actual room size is bigger than it looks in the picture. Big wardrobe for storage. Complimentary breakfast is great and comes with a wide variety of drink options, but the portion might not be enough for people who normally eats a lot. The place is super convenient with a free shuttle bus stop right across the street, making it very easy to get the train station, GALA and Ishiuchi.

This was one of the best stays I’ve had in Japan. The lodge is very cosy and clean, and in the most convenient location if you’re planning to ski. It is right next to Shiga Kogen Ski Resort, and there is free shuttle bus that takes you to GALA and Ishiuichi in just 10-20 mins. Mina and her mum were wonderful hosts, warm and very helpful. They really took care of us and were so hospitable ☺️ The cafe downstairs is fantastic. Highly recommend having breakfast there. It is simple yet delicious, taste of Japanese home cooking. Desserts are quite special and a must try!

YAKATA - Vacation STAY 58660v ligger i Yuzawa, 16 minuters promenad från Gala Yuzawa skidort och 22 km från Naeba skidanläggning, och erbjuder rum med luftkonditionering och delat badrum. The room is clean. The host is very nice. The location is opposite to the Yuzawa Kogen ski resort. If getting the bus from Gala Yuzawa, just find the route that will pass Yuzawa Kogen and tell the bus driver. Share bathroom is not the problem. Recommend to stay here.

古民家宿Tani House Itaya -セルフチェックイン ligger i Tokamachi, inom 13 km från Gala Yuzawa skidort och 37 km från Naeba skidanläggning, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård och gratis WiFi samt gratis privat... Amazingly charming historical house, maintained by owner with lots of love for every tiny detail. It was a place I’ve never been but I felt melancholic, absolutely a fantastic place to stay. Pity that we spent only for 14 hours in the house.

If you’re looking for an easy going vibe and the lowdown on the very best places to ski or board, look no further than Kitsune. Dave and Lisa are so easy to deal with and made us feel so welcome that we turned our 2 day trip into 7! They made our trip so convenient from picking us up and shuttling us to/from skiing and the train station, to booking us suppers at the best restaurants, spas and onsens and day trips. Do yourself a favour and stay here, you will not regret it!

KONAYUKI ligger i Myoko, 33 km från Zenkō-ji tempel, och har en bar, rökfria rum, gratis WiFi och ski-in/ski-out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I have stayed in Myoko numerous times, and this was by far my favorite stay in terms of accommodation. Location wise, it's as close as you can get to 'ski in-ski out' in Myoko, while also only being a short walk from most of the local restaurants/onsen. Kenji and his family go the extra mile to ensure you have the best time in Myoko, from discount lift pass tickets, providing local transport, even down to the little details such as booking restaurants in advance for our larger group. The accommodation itself was very cozy and was a perfect spot to relax after a long day on the mountain with a hot cocoa or a local craft beer. Kenji and his family definitely made this a special trip, one my family will always remember.

NEMARU Live with Books ligger i Nagaoka, 12 km från Yukiguni Garden Park, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Nemaru is the embodiment of "cozy" - there's no end to the cute little curiosities lining the apartment! There are many delightful books to look at, as well as a projector for a fun home theater. There was clearly a lot of love put into these accommodations, and I think everyone will feel right at home here. Miura, the host, was also very kind and welcoming!
