Shogo made so many excellent suggestions that Gojo became one of our favorite stops on a multi-week Japanese visit. His accommodation, in an atmospheric, traditional part of town, was clean, well organized and super comfortable. Our room on the second floor had a fabulous view out to the mountains that was a joy to wake up to. The shared kitchen downstairs had everything we needed for eating in or making coffee. The river walk park was a great way to get up or gear down every day. We wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Shogo, for a wonderful stay.

Even when my friend have a a trouble with her heath, they help me to find hospital and call the taxi during the bad weather effect by big typhoons. Renovating a Japanese-style private house with a 100-year history, Guesthouse Tamura offers an accommodation in Fushigazushi-cho, Nara. Had a wonderful stay in the guesthouse, one of the best ones out there. The owner preparea a bathtub everynight for the guests. Overall the place is very cozy

Close to station, exceptional and really nice staff (we spoke half Japanese half English), spacious and comfortable bed/room.

As far as a hostel goes, this is the best I've been in for my many years of experience. There is a dormitory-like common space kitchen with a big enough fridget to carry groceries and COOK! This is great for any traveler seeking to minimize the tourist trap expenditure around Nara. I also love how it's close to Parket/Paket (a market like Life) so that savings is acheived with great convenience.

The 100-year old Guesthouse Naramachi offers simple Japanese-style accommodation just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyobate Train Station. The property is completely non-smoking. A very charming guesthouse, ideally located 5min walk from the JR station (Kyobate). From Nara station, it takes around 20min walk to get there. The host was amazing, so helpful and nice, giving his advice on the places to go out for dinner, public baths, etc. He helped us to send our luggage to our next step location, and we are so grateful he did. Thank you so much for this great stay, we strongly recommend this place to stay ! :)
