Onsen Guest House Tsutaya er nýlega enduruppgert ryokan-hótel sem er staðsett í Hakone, 6,5 km frá Hakone-Yumoto-stöðinni og státar af baði undir berum himni og fjallaútsýni. The hotel was a very nice surprise when we visited Japan. The shared bathroom was a unique experience, the traditional room was worth the visit and the hotel offered a very relaxing onsen. It is in a nice location (near bus stations, among trees), with very friendly and helpful staff.

Situated 48 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Irori Guest House Tenmaku offers 1-star accommodation in Hakone and has a bar. Had a wonderful time here. I booked a twin room and it was perfect. The dinner was a nice touch and it was a good opportunity to get to know fellow travellers. Both the room and common areas are very clean. Wifi also worked very well. I arrived in the evening and was glad that the place is very easy to find as the streets were quite dark by then.

Open in April 2017, Field Hakone Resort is set in Hakone, a 6-minute walk from Sengokuannaishomae Bus Stop. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free private parking is available on... Big room. Clean. Awesome staff, very helpfull to help enjoy hakone.

GuestHouse FUTARENO er staðsett í Noge-hverfinu í Yokohama, í 5 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Sakuragicho- og Hinodecho-stöðvunum. This is my favorite hostel, of all the ones I tried before! I really felt at home, it was so cozy, lots of small details that were so nice like tea/coffee, small heater, body lotion, face lotion... The family is so welcoming and it was a pleasure to exchange with them! I highly recommend it, I actually didn't want to leave the place! :)

Situated in Yokosuka and with Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine reachable within 24 km, 酒と宿と不動産-yado- features a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a restaurant. Great big room, clean, comfortable, warm in a Lovely old building. Friendly hosts, I booked last minute while cycling around Tokyo bay and was greeted with a smile, a great recommendation for somewhere to eat late at night and they allowed me to store my bicycle inside overnight. I would definitely say again if I am back in Yokosuka anytime.

Overall speaking our stay was fantastic. We read the comments before we booked and expected a good stay. We know the transport is a concern but we drive, so it isn’t an issue. (See below for more about parking) Yet, it is still out of our expectations. We enjoyed so much in the quiet and harmony environment! We spent 4 days 3 nights here. We appreciate the services, food and environment. Places are clean, neat and tidy. The host Rin-san is very detailed and helpful. Its location is a distance from the town; so it is quiet. Originally we planned for long days in nearby towns and tourist locations, and thought that it is just a place for bath and sleep. We didn’t book for additional meals (only booked a dinner on the first night because we would arrive late). Later on we changed our mind and booked the breakfast for day 3 and 4 so that we can enjoyed and relaxed more. Both the dinner and 2x breakfast were wonderful: good variety, delicious, well garnished, and good price! Next to it is a large park. On day 3 we shortened our day tour and went back early. We jogged for an hour and then bought some beer and light meal as our day-3-dinner. The sunset was wonderful. We just sat outdoor, had some snack and chat. An hour easily passed. There were a few email interactions before we checked in. Rin-san explained everything we need and reserved a parking space for us. He replied our questions promptly and arranged everything as requested. We had no difficulty locating the House except that we didn’t expect the condition of the small road towards the House was so poor. In fact Rin-san had explained to us in the email. The road was under construction. We then moved our car to the House another parking space on day 2 morning. It’s just 2 minutes walk and is next to the park we mentioned above. Rin-san drove us there. The arrangement was great. I can’t probably write everything here.
