The host is an absolute gem of a man! He provided tips & tricks, printed ski resort information to us when we got down for breakfast. Breakfast each morning was eggs and bacon, provided with a pan where you could fry them yourselves. He gave us a bottle of sake as a present when we had dinner, and even sat with us during our meal, sharing stories.

2.6 km from Obihiro Station, Guest House モモ is a recently renovated property situated in Obihiro and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The owners are friendly, and they have the lovely dog. The Good hot spring just 5 minutes walk away.

Toyako Guest House Ponkotan er staðsett við Toya-vatn í Toyako Onsen-hverfinu. Þetta 1 stjörnu farfuglaheimili er með ókeypis WiFi, sameiginlegt eldhús og sameiginlega setustofu. Incredible, incredible host! Probably the best hospitality during my trip in Japan, and that is saying something! Gave great recommendations for things to do, and even shared some local desserts with me one day. The hostel itself is super clean and cozy, good Wi-Fi!

Guesthouse Erimo Apartment er gististaður með sameiginlegri setustofu í Sapporo, 11 km frá Shin-Sapporo-stöðinni, 23 km frá Otarushi Zenibako City Center og 40 km frá Otaru-stöðinni. Erimo Apartments I'm 78 years old, and in all my traveling (many places in the world) I have NEVER come across a more gracious, helpful,  and generous host than Takashi Soda. His help to sort out an accommodation problem at another venue for other members of our group, and driving us to catch a bus at short notice was way above 'call of duty'. His accommodation at Erimo self contained studio units have everything you need and more. These are a typical Japanese living space, not big, but pack in so many facilities in a small space it amazes me. They are modern, and spotlessly clean. There is also a shared communal room. Very easy to get anywhere around Sapporo from here. Either long or short term. Hiragishi subway station & the full supermarket (open 09 to 23.30) next to it are a 4 minute walk, a 7/11 is a 2 minute walk away.  Takashi speaks quite reasonable English. I highly recommended this place to stay.

Shooting Star the Bed & Breakfast er staðsett í Furano, 5,3 km frá Furano-stöðinni og 11 km frá Windy Garden. Boðið er upp á garð- og fjallaútsýni. Breakfast is really nice. The hosts are friendly and helpful. I enjoy the 10-min free yoga session and cycling around the property (free bikes for use).

Featuring 1-star accommodation, Sapporo Guest House 庵 Anne is set in Sapporo, 7.7 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center and 14 km from Sapporo Station. We had an amazing breakfast! It was a bit cold in the mornings but didn't take away from the experience much. The owner was so kind and helpful and even invited us to karaoke.

Býður upp á útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu, BEACH OG FIELD. INN er gistirými í Sapporo, 3,9 km frá Sapporo-stöðinni og 10 km frá Shin-Sapporo-stöðinni. The staff were amazingly helpful and kind. I was extremely satisfied. They put a really high standard on the place and the price is absurdly worth it. Definitely one of the best places I have stayed.

Guesthouse OYADO SAPPORO býður upp á gistingu í Sapporo, 6,2 km frá Sapporo-stöðinni, 10 km frá Shin-Sapporo-stöðinni og 23 km frá Otarushi Zenibako City Center. Yoshie San is one of the best host I met in Japan! The atmosphere is amazing, the common room is small but everyone is sharing and chatting freely. I think Yoshie really do a good job to connect each other together :) I think this is a very cool place for solo travellers and backpackers, the bed is surprisingly comfortable:) The room may not suitable for people’s who are looking for a hotel style service. Yet, if you want to chat or having travelling advise, I think you can just stop by and grab a beer. Yoshie San is familiar with Sapporo and have many local recommendations.

Pirka Sapporo býður upp á útsýni yfir kyrrláta götu en það er gistirými staðsett í Sapporo, 2,7 km frá Sapporo-stöðinni og 12 km frá Shin-Sapporo-stöðinni. Great location, very welcoming and organized host. Everything there was very practical and enjoyed the free Miso soup a lot! Super clean as well!

Gufo no Mori Kamifurano er staðsett í Kami-furano, í innan við 15 km fjarlægð frá Furano-stöðinni og 19 km frá Windy Garden. Amazing hosts, very clean and beautiful property. You will feel right at home!
