Toyako Guest House Ponkotan is situated in Lake Toya, in the Toyako Onsen district. With free WiFi, this 1-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and a shared lounge. Very decent price compared to other resort hotels near Toyako. Staff was very friendly, told me the cheap option for bicycles rental and lent me locks for free. Strongly recommend!

Guesthouse Erimo Apartment, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Sapporo, 11 km from Shin-Sapporo Station, 23 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center, as well as 40 km from Otaru Station. Mr. Takashi was an excellent host. He do care about the customers and maintained the flat great. The flat was in a quiet, safe area and sparkling clean. It’s about 5 minutes away from station by walk and surrounded with supermarkets and tasty restaurants with good prices. Washing machines and dryers were helpful for my 2 weeks stay. Especially AC in summer, it’s a spot light. If I back Sapporo, I will stay here again.

They have a petite bar on the first floor, so please check it out! One of the best guesthouses I've been to in Japan and definitely recommended.

They are so warm and friendly. The place itself is very clean and well organized. Free miso soup, tea, and coffee in the common area was also very welcomed! There's even a bathtub for those who prefer that over a shower. Very well recommended for anyone to stay!

Set in Kami-furano, within 15 km of Furano Station and 19 km of Windy Garden, Gufo no Mori Kamifurano offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The casual nature and beautiful location of the host. The common area was open at all times and had everything that we needed to be comfortable!

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Santari is set in Shintoku, 35 km from Lake Shikaribetsu and 47 km from Lake Kanayama Forest Park. Santari-san was an amazing host! He takes a genuine interest in his guests and enjoys sharing with them. I was welcomed with tea. He then took me to the local onsen and then later dropped me off at a yakatori for dinner. He cooked a fresh breakfast in the morning for the other guest and me. The house was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Santari is not in a standard tourist area but it is definitely worth stopping here for the evening on the way between East and west Hokkaido.
