Featuring 1-star accommodation, Guest House EBISAN is set in Furano, 21 km from Furano Station and 22 km from Windy Garden. The host is an absolute gem of a man! He provided tips & tricks, printed ski resort information to us when we got down for breakfast. Breakfast each morning was eggs and bacon, provided with a pan where you could fry them yourselves. He gave us a bottle of sake as a present when we had dinner, and even sat with us during our meal, sharing stories.

2.6 km from Obihiro Station, Guest House モモ is a recently renovated property situated in Obihiro and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The owners are friendly, and they have the lovely dog. The Good hot spring just 5 minutes walk away.

Attractively set in the Toyako Onsen district of Lake Toya, Toyako Guest House Ponkotan is situated 300 metres from Lake Toya, 40 km from Muroran and 40 km from Higashi-muroran Station. Incredible, incredible host! Probably the best hospitality during my trip in Japan, and that is saying something! Gave great recommendations for things to do, and even shared some local desserts with me one day. The hostel itself is super clean and cozy, good Wi-Fi!

Guesthouse Erimo Apartment, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Sapporo, 11 km from Shin-Sapporo Station, 23 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center, as well as 40 km from Otaru Station. Erimo Apartments I'm 78 years old, and in all my traveling (many places in the world) I have NEVER come across a more gracious, helpful,  and generous host than Takashi Soda. His help to sort out an accommodation problem at another venue for other members of our group, and driving us to catch a bus at short notice was way above 'call of duty'. His accommodation at Erimo self contained studio units have everything you need and more. These are a typical Japanese living space, not big, but pack in so many facilities in a small space it amazes me. They are modern, and spotlessly clean. There is also a shared communal room. Very easy to get anywhere around Sapporo from here. Either long or short term. Hiragishi subway station & the full supermarket (open 09 to 23.30) next to it are a 4 minute walk, a 7/11 is a 2 minute walk away.  Takashi speaks quite reasonable English. I highly recommended this place to stay.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Shooting Star the Bed & Breakfast is set in Furano, 5.3 km from Furano Station and 11 km from Windy Garden. Breakfast is really nice. The hosts are friendly and helpful. I enjoy the 10-min free yoga session and cycling around the property (free bikes for use).

Featuring 1-star accommodation, Sapporo Guest House 庵 Anne is set in Sapporo, 7.7 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center and 14 km from Sapporo Station. We had an amazing breakfast! It was a bit cold in the mornings but didn't take away from the experience much. The owner was so kind and helpful and even invited us to karaoke.

Offering quiet street views, BEACH AND FIELD INN is an accommodation set in Sapporo, 3.9 km from Sapporo Station and 10 km from Shin-Sapporo Station. The staff were amazingly helpful and kind. I was extremely satisfied. They put a really high standard on the place and the price is absurdly worth it. Definitely one of the best places I have stayed.

Set 6.2 km from Sapporo Station, 10 km from Shin-Sapporo Station and 23 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center, Guesthouse OYADO SAPPORO offers accommodation situated in Sapporo. Yoshie San is one of the best host I met in Japan! The atmosphere is amazing, the common room is small but everyone is sharing and chatting freely. I think Yoshie really do a good job to connect each other together :) I think this is a very cool place for solo travellers and backpackers, the bed is surprisingly comfortable:) The room may not suitable for people’s who are looking for a hotel style service. Yet, if you want to chat or having travelling advise, I think you can just stop by and grab a beer. Yoshie San is familiar with Sapporo and have many local recommendations.

Offering quiet street views, Pirka Sapporo is an accommodation located in Sapporo, 2.7 km from Sapporo Station and 12 km from Shin-Sapporo Station. Great location, very welcoming and organized host. Everything there was very practical and enjoyed the free Miso soup a lot! Super clean as well!

Set in Kami-furano, within 15 km of Furano Station and 19 km of Windy Garden, Gufo no Mori Kamifurano offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Amazing hosts, very clean and beautiful property. You will feel right at home!
