Chris and Sinead were incredible hosts and made us feel at home from check-in. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to each day. It was restaurant quality (wife asked for a recipe) and the soft background music (personal note here) was spot on. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property is located near a bus stop, so getting around isn’t an issue. Lastly, it’s a 2 minute (max) skip down to the beach. It’s one block away.

We asked for advice on somewhere to eat in the evening and she suggested "The Grapes Village Pub" nearby in East Calder. It was cosy, had friendly staff, and the best pub meal we've had for a longtime.

Set 1.1 km from Butterfly & Insect World, Glenarch House is in Dalkeith and features a garden and a terrace. The accommodation is 2.1 km from the Dalkeith Country Park. I really enjoy my stay in Glenarch House, everything was clean, comfy and the most beautiful view. Nicola and Ben were so kind and always willing to help.
