Situated in Edinburgh, the recently renovated 4 Friends House features accommodation 1.1 km from Royal Yacht Britannia and 3.1 km from Edinburgh Waverley station. When I first walked in, I immediately noticed a pleasant fragrance. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite, and the room was incredibly clean.

We chose Lauderville Guest House to stay in while we visited Edinburgh earlier this month (June 2024). We highly recommend it. Simon was our fantastic host. Before we arrived, he had contacted us and provided all necessary information. Simon is very open and always ready to help. Our room was very cosy and impeccable - I mean, we were stunned by how clean and tidy the room had been. Homemade breakfasts were delicious. The Lauderville Guest House is in a very good location - only a few stops away from the city centre. We had not trouble getting to the airport, through the city centre, and early in the morning - we used the night public transport service, but everything went smooth. Chris and Sinead were incredible hosts and made us feel at home from check-in. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to each day. It was restaurant quality (wife asked for a recipe) and the soft background music (personal note here) was spot on. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property is located near a bus stop, so getting around isn’t an issue. Lastly, it’s a 2 minute (max) skip down to the beach. It’s one block away.

Glenarch House er staðsett í Dalkeith, 1,1 km frá Butterfly & Insectworld og býður upp á garð og verönd. Gistirýmið er í 2,1 km fjarlægð frá Dalkeith Country Park. We had a great stay at Glenarch House which is very quiet and in the same time close enough to Edinburg, easy to get to by train (20mn). The studio room was very confortable and comfy with all the facilities you need. Spacious and clean bathroom Glenarch House is a gorgeous property with a stunning garden. And, ice on the cake, Nicola our host was very kind, friendly and helpful.
