Our bedroom and en suite had been tastefully modernised and were spotlessly clean. A generous breakfast featuring local produce was supplemented with a selection of home-made jams and marmalades. Very modern and spotlessly clean. Superb views from our balcony over the vineyards and rooftops of the charming and quiet village of Solutre. Romain and his staff were great hosts. He even gave us a degustation of his wines - which were superb. Breakfast was like dining at home - totally laid back and casual. There’s also a superb restaurant just 150 meters from the property Les Courtilles de Solutre which Romain booked for us even before we arrived! The area is a wine lovers and hikers paradise with loads of Vignobles to choose from and the Roches de Solutre and de Vergisson to climb.

The owners have very tastefully renovated this chateau. They have managed make the rooms modern and comfortable without loosing the charm of the old chateau. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The garden and pool were a magnificent to wind down after a long drive. Very kid friendly as well. Dinner and breakfast were good.

The property is located in the countryside near St Boil, in Burgundy. Our bedroom was specious, very quiet & the bathroom adequate. The breakfast was delicious. Homemade with fresh ingredients, Sylvie's yoghurt bread deserves a special mention. Parking was in the courtyard. There is also a kitchen area for preparing & eating meals. The hostess, Sylvie, is charming, friendly & very helpful. If you are looking for a quiet break in the middle of the French countryside, this venue would be ideal. Highly recommended.
