Featuring free bikes, the eco-friendly Herdade do Ananás is located in Ponta Delgada, 2.9 km from Portas da Cidade. The hotel is situated among a beautiful garden with different plants and trees. There is plenty of outdoor space, where you can relax in nice weather. The staff was very attentive and they even reserved a table for dinner for us on our arrival. I can say that this was one of the best meals, we had on the island. The breakfast also was rich and delicious. We also spent great in the jacuzzi, surrounded by the pineapples.

The location is conveniently just outside of town and nearby the highway to get to anywhere else on the island. We would definitely stay here again.

Centrally located in Sao Miguel Island, this property is set in the quiet area of Vila Franca do Campo. The ocean pool was great and the ocean view spectacular.

Caroline is a wonderful host!!! The attitude is like we are not her guests but friends. She gave us the papers with full information about the best places on an island, many of these tips are unique,you cannot google it, only get from a local. The whole atmosphere of the manor is like living in a movie. The horses, the interior, the lovely dogs and the feeling of love in every corner. This was so 🥰 We enjoyed free local fruit provided ( bananas are excellent). The coffee was also very nice. The kitchen facilities are great for making anything you want. You get a shelf in the fridge for storage. The park of the house is so nice ( the frogs are noizy at night but that is also charming 🤭). The lining and towels are changed every day like in 5* hotel..the quality of them is also good. The bathroom so big and everything in English style. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay! I will miss the doggies ☺️

The Convento de São Francisco is a built in a 17th century Franciscan convent. Beautiful cloister in the nice quiet town of Vila Franca do Campo. Nice, comfortable room. Very good breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff. I will come back.

The Quinta de Santa Clara is a cozy property, 22 km from the famous Lagoa do Fogo, the highest lagoon in São Miguel Island. Location was great, just a a couple of min. from the city and a lot of great restaurant near by. (You need a car) The room was great, very clean and super cozy. We came with our baby so the did put a crib and a baby chair in our apartement which was super nice. The host was super friendly! They have a pool we couldn't use because of the weather but it looked great.
