Incredible value for the money. This place looked like a chic Manhattan hotel and was walkable to all Ponta Delgada sights. Did I mention the food? We stayed for lunch as the breakfast was so exceptional.

Among the various facilities are a garden, an exclusive jacuzzi inside pineapple plantation and a shared lounge. Both free WiFi and private parking are accessible at the farm stay. An excellent breakfast was prepared with local food and a good portion; everything from the eggs, bread, and hams was delicious.

The old quinta is a true gem and the apartment felt very homely, with all the neat and well selected decoration, the nice wooden floors and the harmonic ambience. Beautiful views and a lush garden, also a great location to explore all parts of the island, the best spots for hot volcanic baths are also very close! We stayed with a four year old and a little baby and would say its a perfect spot to travel with your family and will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

The property consists of 3 villas, within an agricultural farm. Two of the villas have a double room and a mezzanine with 2 single beds, and direct ocean views, while the other has a double bedroom and ocean view from the private terrace. Each units has a kitchen, a living room including a cable TV and a sofa bed. check in went as explained; communication was good

Moinho das Feteiras has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Feteiras, 15 km from Pico do Carvao. There is a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the mountain and garden. Very nice small hotel. It feels like a BnB but with the services of an hotel. Great location, not far from Ponta Delgada but far enough to stay in a quiet and rural area. The infinity pool is amazing.

Situated in Ponta Delgada and only 11 km from Pico do Carvao, Monte Ingles features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. With mountain views, this accommodation offers a patio. The farm stay provides garden views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. Absolutely everything. We loved staying for 3 nights with Caroline, her dogs and her horses. We wish that it had been longer. Caroline is an amazing woman and an inspiration. Her home and gardens are beautiful and in a perfect location outside of the city for exploring Sao Miguel and when coming from or going to the airport. Coffee, tea, cookies and fruit were always available.

The Lagoa do Fogo is one of the island’s most famous tourist spots. It has lush green surroundings, several hiking trails around it and is one of the largest lagoons in all of the Azores. It is a 30-minute drive from the Ponta Delgada centre, which has a historical city centre, bars cafés and local shops. The unit is 500 metres from a beach area and there is a commercial area just 100 metres away, with a variety of shops. It is a fantastic location and is very tastefully decorated. Modern but keeping the historic charm of an old Monastery. The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating as well. Loved our stay.

For more meal options, several local restaurants are available within a 5-minute drive from the farm. The hotel is beautiful, quiet, modern. The staff are great, excellent value. Everything worked, room cleaned every day, appliances were great.
