Villamaría

Extremely hospitable and helpful hosts who connected us to a great guide (Alejandro) who took us to Los Nevados national park. The flower garden with views of the Andean foothills is very pleasant and the hammock patio that surrounds the house is a great place to relax.
If you want a place to stay that feels like you're welcomed into a nice rural home then this is a great option. There is also a pair of modest outdoor bar/restaurants a short walk away for watching the sunset or looking at the lights of Manizales.
Chinchiná

One highlight of our stay was the opportunity to learn about the coffee cultivation process directly from Jorge and Carolina. Their passion for coffee was infectious, and the tasting experience they curated was both educational and delicious. Overall, our time at this hotel was a delightful escape, thanks to the wonderful hosts who made us feel like valued guests. By blind luck on our part, the location turned out to be perfect: easy walking distance (to the extent walking is ever easily in hilly Manizales) from the monument at the top of Chipre, as well as the Ecoparque, and next to the Parque de Aguas, a good place to catch buses. The staff was not only helpful, but seemed intent on satisfying our needs before we even knew we had them. For example, they arranged our coffee farm tour and advised on transportation. We had a grand room with a view of sunrise over the mountains.
Beautiful gardens, helpful and friendly staff, excellent food, and comfortable and spacious rooms filled with antiques. The Hacienda offers trips to orchid farms and birdwatching tours, in addition to on site coffee tours.
An historic, rustic, coffee finca at the end of the road with great views. The personal touches and friendliness of the owners. The complimentary tour of the finca and coffee making process. Being able to wander around the farm past the growing coffee, avocado, platanos, papaya, citrus etc. Enjoying a cold beer with an evening meal prepared by Carolina whilst relaxing in the communal space at the finca. Being entertained by the antics of the 3 friendly dogs - Frost, Niña and Milagros!

We loved our stay at La Estancia. Doña Alva h Doña Patricia were lovely, they helped us with everything! The hotel is beautiful and it’s located right next to the main square. Highly recommended
The Hacienda Guayabal is a truly beautiful place. The care which Jorge and his family and staff take in everything they do is evident from the moment you make a booking. The location is glorious, with well-maintained rooms, incredible views and homely, carefully prepared and presented food. The tour of the farm is extremely interesting and very well explained by the guide.
This place is amazing, the location is incredible. A very quite place surrounded by nature. It was a nice experience to wake up in the morning with such a beautiful view with the sound of nature all around you. They thought of everything just to make our stay so comfortable as possible. The service was very good and very friendly. We enjoyed our guiding tour through the coffee farm. We hope one day we can return to this place.
Breakfast was great. The coffee was fabulous and readily available. The tour of the farm was very informative. The location was a bit out of the way but understandably so. We were collected from the end of the drive. The scenery, the gardens and the birds were lovely. The pool was a very welcome relief.
the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. the food at the restaurant was the best we have eaten during our visit to Colombia. the tour private tour of the coffee farm was wonderful.
